Betting on baseball is all about knowing who's hot and who's not.
Dimers.com contributor Tony Bellissimo tours both camps in today's edition of Who's Hot, Who's Not.

Which MLB team is hot right now?
If you’ve been riding the red-hot New York Yankees, you’ve got to be considering hopping off the bandwagon to collect some juicy odds going the other way. The Yankees have been in cruise control since splitting their first 10 and are a league-best 49-17.
The #Yankees bullpen allowed some big home runs to the #BlueJays, allowing them to overcome a big deficit, win 10-9, and end the New York winning streak. The Yanks will have to settle for a series win in Toronto: https://t.co/3UxJqN48sz

They have a freakish plus-143 run differential. This week brings a three-game trip to Tampa, where the Yanks and Rays split four games recently, as well as a visit from AL West-leading Houston for four games. It’s arguably the toughest pitching they’ll face in a weeklong stretch so far this season.
Which MLB team is not?
The Milwaukee Brewers were sitting 14 games over .500 on Memorial Day and comfortably atop the competition in a sluggish NL Central. Since then, they’ve won just 6 of 18 and are tied for first place with St. Louis.
For the @Brewers to be tied for the Division lead after that losing streak and road trip, it has to be viewed as a success. #Baseball #Brewers #ThisIsMyCrew pic.twitter.com/bhSvfoOFYc

The good news for the Brew Crew is a 7-game homestand at American Family Field (formerly Miller Park) begins Monday against the Cardinals. Milwaukee has played just 27 home games compared to 41 on the road and primed to make a run after a weekend sweep of the Reds.
MLB players: Who is hot?
In his 10th MLB season and fourth with the Cardinals, Paul Goldschmidt is well on his way to a seventh 30-homer season and is on pace to crush his single-season high of 36 set twice while with Arizona.
One hell of a run for Goldy!

He’s also on pace to surpass his career high of 125 RBIs set nine years ago. Goldy leads the league in batting average (.346) and hits with 85. He is four home runs away from 300 and 15 RBIs away from 1,000 for his career. He has a tough matchup to start the week in the form of Milwaukee’s Corbin Burnes.
MLB Players: Who is not?
The Detroit Tigers have been one of baseball’s biggest disappointments so far. A number of players on the roster qualifies for this category, namely newcomers Javier Baez and Austin Meadows, but for today’s installment we’ll call out Jonathan Schoop.
Jonathan Schoop gets a night off. He's 3 for 26 over his last seven games. 8Ks.

In 2021, Schoop belted 22 homers, drove in 84 runs and hit .278. Right now, he’s on pace for 13 homers, 48 RBIs and is batting .193. Schoop went on a tear in the second half of last season and offers solid value to make some noise. His week starts in Fenway against Boston youngster Josh Winckowski.
