Nationals vs. Cubs, 2:20 pm ET

The Nationals were finally able to get a win last night with a 6-5 triumph over the Cubs in what was their first W in a week. Good for them. 

That's where the good news ends for the Nats. Today they find themselves up against it again with one of the most costly pitchers on recent form in Josiah Gray heading to the mound. In the last four starts alone, Gray has given up 10 home runs with an ERA of 8.53. It hasn't been a good run for the ace, and with a batting rotation which has been decimated for depth since the trade deadline, this points to a rampaging win for Chicago.

Marlins vs. Phillies, 7:05 pm ET

Miami will go into this game as underdogs with the 'books, but they have a great chance of an upset victory over this Phillies unit who will be deploying new squad member Noah Syndergaard for his second start in Philadelphia. Syndergaard didn't exactly live up to expectations in Anaheim before being shipped and his first start for his new team was just as underwhelming, giving up 4 runs and 11 hits in 5 innings against the lowly Nationals on August 4. Sandy Alcantara (10-4, 1.88 ERA) is a colossus for the Marlins and will ensure that he gives his offense every chance to attack Syndergaard.

White Sox vs. Royals, 8:10 pm ET

Kris Bubic (2-6, 5.27 ERA) gets the start for the Royals tonight, and while that usually screams runs for the opposition, the White Sox are having a torrid time against leftie pitchers over their last 10 games. They are averaging a disgusting 0.79 runs per nine innings against lefties. The two teams split their doubleheader yesterday to indicate that things are pretty even between the squads, but the White Sox could be troubled tonight against Bubic and Kansas City.
