Best MLB Prop Bets Today

Mariners vs. Astros, 3:37PM ET

BET: Luis Castillo 6+ Strikeouts (+110)

Castillo got the ball once already this postseason and the man was nearly flawless. He went seven innings and didn't give up a run, notching five strikeouts in the process. Five is on the small side for Castillo, who has thrown six or more strikeouts in 11 of his last 17 starts. Against a Houston team with aggressive bats, we like his chances to rack up the Ks. The Astros will be swinging freely knowing they have a lead in the series, but Castillo has the stuff to keep them coming up empty.

BET: Shane Bieber 5+ Strikeouts (-150)

Bieber takes the mound in a must-win game for Cleveland, who our models still give a good chance to come from behind and win this series. Bieber is always a good bet to tally some strikeouts, reaching five or more Ks in 10 of his last 12 games. Bieber got a win in his first playoff start against the Rays, striking out eight batters in 7+ innings. He's going to need a similar performance to steal Game Two against the Yanks, but we like his chances.
