Mets vs. Athletics, 4:07PM ET

LEG 1: Pete Alonso 1+ HR (+425) with DraftKings

We're not sure a day will ever go by where we don't include a player opposing the Athletics in this article this season. The A's are up against it once again in Oakland this afternoon, sending left-hander pitcher JP Sears to the mound, the presumably be seared. The Athletics pitcher has started twice this season, giving up three home runs and will battle against Pete Alonso, who has been hitting lefties with scary precision in 2023, going at a .409 avg from 22 at-bats, hitting four home runs. That's prolific. He hit a home run against Oakland yesterday, and he's a golden chance to make it two in a row.

Rockies vs. Mariners, 4:10PM ET

LEG 2: Jared Kelenic 1+ HR (+475) with DraftKings

Kelenic has had the week of his career, homering in four straight games against the Cubs and Rockies, and our model sees no sign of the hot streak stopping today. Second-year player Noah Davis will be getting his first career start on the mound for the Rockies. He appeared as a reliever in one game last season, giving up 2ER and a homer against the Dodgers in October. Injury woes have put Davis into the fold for Colorado, but his form in Triple-A ranks hasn't exactly set the world on fire with a 4.26 ERA and a 1.65 WHIP this year. In other words, this is set up on a platter for the Seattle hitters, and not too many are hotter than Kelenic. Our model has detected a 2.9% edge on the odds on offer.
