Saturday MLB Parlay Analysis

Mets vs. Rockies, 7:10PM ET

LEG 1: Pete Alonso 1+ HR (+340) with DraftKings

The entire Mets offense managed a lone run in Friday's win over the Rockies, putting a dent in our Pete Alonso home run plans. But for all the same reasons, we're going back to the well with the Polar Bear tonight. The co-owner of second place on MLB's home run leaderboard is still mired in a bit of a slump, but he's simply too good to fade when our model gives him a 28.9% chance to go yard, the highest of the entire MLB slate.

He draws a very favorable pitching matchup with the Rockies' Austin Gomber (7.57 ERA) who's given up six dingers on the year. averaging one per game. There's no reason the Mets and Alonso shouldn't be able to jump out early and attack Gomber's fly-ball tendencies and lack of swing-and-miss stuff. Let's get that Polar Power.

Padres vs. Dodgers, 8:40PM ET

LEG 2: Fernando Tatis Jr. 1+ HR (+450) with DraftKings

Is this Zoolander? Because 'Nando is sooo hot right now. He's picked up a hit in 8 of his last 10 games, including two bombs last night against the Dodgers. With a 24.1% probability from our model, we're certainly riding with the hot hand tonight.

His pitching matchup with Dustin May (3.15) is nothing spectacular to exploit; May sits around the middle of the league in all major home run-related metrics. We're simply trusting the model, the talent of Tatis Jr. and expecting the Padres to give it their all as they look to dethrone the Dodgers from their seemingly centuries-long reign atop the NL West.
