MLB Parlay Tonight - August 8, 2024

The strategy behind this parlay is simple - take a player featured in our Top 20 hit list *and* in our top overall home run hitters, and select them to get 2+ bases. This can be achieved by multiple hits or an extra-base hit. Advancing on the basepath via another player does not count.

Leg 1: Aaron Judge 2+ Total Bases (+115)

Our no. 1 slugger of then ight (and virtually every night) leads the way in this parlay and he's got the best odds out of all three guys.

The presumptive AL MVP leads the American League in virtually every offensive category. He's a tank and a monster at the dish, but we're getting plus money on him because he's been walked a ton.

He has nearly as many walks (16) as hits (19) in the past 15 days. Over a month, he's got 2 more walks (31) than hits (29). Despite that, he's got 10 multi-hit or games with an XBH since the All-Star Break, including three in his past five where he's been hitting .533.

Judge gets a 78.5% hit probability to go along with our biggest home run probability of the night at 36.0%.

Leg 2: Ketel Marte 2+ Total Bases (-125)

Next we'll look at Ketel Marte, the D-Backs All-Star snub and recent NL MVP contender (though he's well behind Shohei).

Marte and the D-Backs host the Phillies tonight in Chase Field where he's hitting .340 with 25 XBH in 206 AB. That's multiple bases in one swing every 8 ABs for the slugger.

He's homered in 3 of his past 4 games, and picked up at least 2 bases in 12 of 18 games since the break with a Top 6 batting average over the past month. Even better? He's got a lefty matchup with the Phils' Kolby Allard - Marte is hitting .360 against lefties this year, with 16 of his 19 HR off of them.

He gets a 77.5% hit probability to go along with 18.1% to hit a home run.

Leg 3: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 2+ Total Bases (-110)

We'll close it out with a player who's somehow even hotter at the dish than these other two guys.

Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has turned his season around in spectacular fashion. Following a slow April in which he struggled to hit, he quickly ramped up his average, though power wasn't quite there. He solved that, clubbing 8 HR in back-to-back months and posting an absurd .424 batting average over the past 30 days, picking up an XBH or multiple hits in 13/18 games since the break.

Against today's starter for the O's, Dean Kremer, Vladdy has hit 4 home runs, a double and owns a .320 average in 25 at bats. He's got 16 HR and 23 doubles off righties this year.

Tonight he gets a 75.9% hit probability and a strong 21.9% home run chance as well.
