How should you bet Dinger Tuesday?
There are multiple approaches to this promo: you could place a bet on the most likely player to hit a home run in any given game; if they hit one, you cash in plus have the potential of bonus bet payouts for any additional home runs. You could also target a longshot with hopes of a massive payout and the chance to get some of your bet back if it loses. Either way, you want to target games with a high total and a stronger chance for home runs.
Regardless of which strategy you choose, we’ve identified the White Sox vs. Angels game as tonight’s best value for capitalizing on Dinger Tuesday at FanDuel. Below, you’ll find a preview of the game along with the five players we’ve identified with an HR probability over 20%, as well as an edge over the book with their posted odds.
White Sox vs. Angels 9:38PM EST Preview
Dinger Tuesday Best Bets
Player | Odds | Probability |
Mike Trout | +320 | 37.4% |
Shohei Ohtani | +285 | 36.8% |
Hunter Renfroe | +400 | 34.2% |
Brandon Drury | +500 | 27.4% |
Eduardo Escobar | +700 | 25.2% |
After putting on a franchise record 25 runs on Saturday night in Colorado, our home run predictor is expecting another big time performance from the Angels in Anaheim tonight, identifying five Halos players as chances of going yard.
Michael Kopech will be on the mound as the starting pitcher for the White Sox tonight. He faced the Angels just a couple of weeks ago on May 29 with LA coming out as 6-4 victors on that occasion as Brandon Drury and Matt Thaiss homered. While our predictor doesn't like Thaiss tonight, it does like Dury, identifying a 10.8% edge on the +500 odds currently on the board.
At the top of our probabilities list are some familiar names in Mike Trout and Shohei Ohtani, the latter launching one out of the ballpark in last night's series opener. Ohtani is in career-best form (even for him) at the moment, and remains a threat every single time he steps up to the plate.
Hunter Renfroe and Eduardo Escobar also make our list of likely dingers for the night in what promises to be a big one if the Angels can keep their momentum from the weekend rolling.
It’s worth noting that all of these home run props have better odds on DraftKings and BetMGM, and sometimes significantly, but you won’t get the advantage of the Dinger Tuesday bonus bets. They are still recommended plays on the other books, especially with a larger payout.
