Which MLB team is hot right now?

The Cincinnati Reds looked destined for a historically bad season after opening 3-22 out of the gate. Since the ugly start, however, the Reds have played .500 ball (39-39) and this week inched their way into third place in the NL Central thanks to a four-game winning streak.

Cincinnati’s pitching staff has allowed just six runs during the stretch and will turn to struggling Mike Minor to keep things close with the Miami Marlins and ace Sandy Alcantara tonight.

Which MLB team is cold right now?

The only MLB club to not made a trade deadline deal, the Colorado Rockies are already playing out the schedule and looking to avoid a last-place finish in the NL West. The Rockies, just like for much of their history, are a terrible road team with 32 losses in 49 games away from Coors Field.

They dropped a doubleheader in San Diego yesterday and have lost six of their last seven. An icy Chad Kuhl will try to solve the San Diego Padres tonight.

MLB players: Who is in hot form?

The Milwaukee Brewers boast one of the strongest lineups in baseball and can inflict serious damage on any given night. Lately, OF Hunter Renfroe, playing with his fourth different club in as many seasons, has been the main catalyst for the NL Central division leaders.

Over the past 10 games, Renfroe is batting .286 (12-for-42) with six homers, 14 RBIs and seven runs scored. He has 19 homers and 43 RBIs on the year heading into tonight’s game in Pittsburgh.

MLB Players: Who is out of form?

Signed to a minor-league contract over the winter, OF Nomar Mazara didn’t make the Padres opening-day roster but was recalled from AAA June 2 and made an early impact.

Lately, however, that hasn’t been the case and his playing time is in serious jeopardy even against right-handed pitching. Mazara is 8-for-40 over the past two weeks with one RBI and 14 strikeouts.
