Which MLB team is hot right now?
Strong pitching (sixth-best ERA in baseball at 3.58) and timely hitting are the biggest reasons the Seattle Mariners carry an 8-game winning streak into Tuesday’s game against Washington.

The surge has the Mariners three games over .500 at 45-42 after a four-game sweep of Toronto. Now comes a short two-game swing across the country to the nation’s Capital. The Nationals are in a funk and Chris Flexen will look to keep both teams going in their respective directions.

Which MLB team is cold right now?
It’s hard to believe with the amount of talent the Toronto Blue Jays have on their roster, they’ve dropped 9 of their last 10 and are only a few games ahead of surging last-place Baltimore in the AL East. The Jays have played well at home (25-18) but poorly on the road.

A long trip to Seattle made for an even longer trip back home. They had a much-needed day off Monday and begin a 5-game homestand tonight versus Philadelphia.
Unfortunately, there are no odds on this game as of press time due to several Phillies players being disallowed entry into Canada because of COVID protocols.
MLB players: Who is in hot form?
Kyle Schwarber is tearing the cover off the ball when it comes to going deep and close to setting a new Phillies franchise record for home runs prior to the All-Star break.

He has 28 and is 3 off Hall of Famer Mike Schmidt’s first-half mark. Schwarber had consecutive two-homer games last week against Washington and has driven in 57 runs. His .219 average isn’t the reason to use him in daily fantasy lineups.
MLB Players: Who is out of form?
Former first-round pick Jose Berrios was traded from Minnesota to Toronto last season and made a career-high tying and MLB high 32 starts between the two clubs, compiling a 12-9 record and a 3.52 ERA with a career-best 204 strikeouts.

Best pitchers to target to get HRs hit off them
Jose Berrios - 17 HRs allowed, 1.84 HR/9
Josiah Gray - 16 HRs allowed, 1.78 HR/9
James Kaprielian - 11 HRs allowed, 1.71 HR/9
Michael Pineda - 6 HRs allowed, 1.98 HR/9

He hasn’t, however, been as effective thus far this season for the Blue Jays. Heading into tonight’s start against Philadelphia, Berrios (6-4) totes a 5.44 ERA.
