Which MLB team is hot right now?
Looking at some of the MLB statistical categories, you’d think the Philadelphia Phillies would be better than their 55-47 record. The Phils, fresh off a four-game sweep of the struggling Pittsburgh Pirates, boast the fifth-highest scoring offense and have allowed the eighth fewest runs in the league.
They were idle Monday and head to Atlanta tonight to begin a short two-game trek. They’ll use Nick Nelson as the “opener” and hope he can navigate through a prolific Atlanta Braves lineup in a pressure spot.

Which MLB team is cold right now?
The Miami Marlins are dealing with some tough injuries (2B Jazz Chisholm, 3B Jon Berti, 1B Garrett Cooper and 3B Brian Anderson are all out, along with several pitchers including closer Anthony Bender) and have been unable to gain any traction on getting to .500.
A loss to the visiting Cincinnati Reds to begin the week was Miami’s fourth-straight defeat after a weekend sweep at the hands of the first-place New York Mets.

MLB players: Who is in hot form?
Aaron Judge, who homered again last night and has 43 on the season, is deservedly getting all the national attention but there’s a player north of the border who’s red hot lately. Toronto Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman enters tonight’s game against the Tampa Bay Rays with four homers and eight RBIs in his last 17 at-bats to go along with four singles for a .471 average.
Fun fact: the Blue Jays bullpen doesn't like when Matt Chapman doesn't acknowledge them after he hits a home run so today he called them after his dinger 😂 pic.twitter.com/I6DJXHhVpq

The streak brought Chapman to 20 homers on the year, putting him within striking distance of his single-season best of 36 set with the Oakland Athletics in 2019.

MLB Players: Who is out of form?
Rumored to be on the trading block heading into today’s deadline, Tampa’s Ji-Man Choi has done nothing to boost his value lately. Going back to mid-July, he’s struggling to say the least with just five hits and one walk in 38 plate appearances for a .135 batting average.
He’s also struck out 10 times during the slump and has just one extra-base hit, a home run. If the Rays can find a dancing partner, he’ll be wearing a different uniform tomorrow.

Triston McKenzie
Listed at 6-foot-5, 165 pounds, Triston McKenzie has done more than pull his share of the weight for the playoff contending Cleveland Guardians with a record of 7-7 and 130 strikeouts in 114 innings.
I knew I had some other special Triston McKenzie cards. Love this Topps Pro Debut from last year. My own birthday numbered 03/10. Now that's too sweet. #Indians #OurTribe #collect #thehobby https://t.co/JhbfU2KnPt pic.twitter.com/0BNXo9cep6

McKenzie, who turns 25 on Tuesday, carries an impressive 3.24 ERA and 0.98 WHIP into tonight’s home match-up against the Arizona Diamondbacks. Here’s a crazy stat: of the 119 runs McKenzie has allowed in his career, not one has been unearned.
