Which MLB team is hot right now?
The Chicago White Sox have been a frustrating club all season but could be peaking at the right time. The AL Central is up for grabs and it’s likely not going to take 95 wins to claim it.

The Sox haven’t been 100 percent healthy all year but could be getting there soon with closer Liam Hendriks back and OF Luis Robert activated. With wins in seven of 10, the White Sox sit just two games off the pace for the division lead. Chicago’s next four are against fading the Texas Rangers.
Which MLB team is cold right now?
Opening the vault to bring in the likes of Corey Seager, Marcus Semien and Jon Gray hasn’t added up for the Rangers just yet. With the exception of home runs, where they rank eighth with 131, the Rangers are in the bottom half of all major statistical categories.
A sweep at the hands of the Baltimore Orioles to begin the week put them at 46-58 with a four-game set against the playoff-minded White Sox beginning tonight.
MLB players: Who is in hot form?
Entering this season, Justin Verlander had pitched just six innings since 2020 and underwent major surgery.
However, the 2019 Cy Young Award winner is thriving again at the tender age of 39 and has been nothing short of dominant. Entering tonight’s road game against the Cleveland Guardians, the Astros ace is wielding Cy Young-type numbers. He’s 14-3 with a 1.82 ERA and a 0.87 WHIP, with 122 strikeouts (and only 22 walks) in 124 innings.

MLB Players: Who is out of form?
Carlos Correa signed a three-year, $105 million contract with the Minnesota Twins during the winter, marking the largest annual salary amount the Twins have ever given to a player in their 121-year history.
So far through 80 games with his new employer, Correa has a .266 batting average, 13 home runs, 37 RBIs and a stint on the injured list. He’s really struggled as of late, going 7 for 39 (.179) over the last 15 days.

MLB Players Who Were Born on August 4
Alec Bohm
Selected in the first round, No. 3 overall, of the 2018 MLB Draft, Bohm is still developing as an everyday third baseman for the Phillies. He hasn’t been overmatched to say the least, sporting a .283 career batting average in 254 games, but has yet to develop much power.
Happy birthday Alex. To more bohm bombs
