MLB Betting Trends Monday June 27, 2022: Who's Hot, Who's Not and Where You Should Bet
Betting on baseball is all about knowing who's hot and who's not.
Dimers.com contributor Tony Bellissimo tours both camps in the Monday June 27, 2022 edition of Who's Hot and Who's Not in the MLB right now.

Which MLB team is hot right now?
So the Baltimore Orioles are once again in last place in the AL East, but they’re not the non-competitive club they’ve been far too often over the past decade. The Orioles are 8-4 in their past 12 games and have the best record overall (34-40) of any of the cellar dwellers.
Good morning.

The Baltimore Orioles have a better record than the team that employs Shohei Ohtani AND Mike Trout.
They’re run differential is minus-25 — not too shabby compared to the other five last-place teams heading into Monday’s slate: Colorado (-70), Cincinnati (-77), Kansas City (-93), Oakland (-107) and Washington (-111.)
Which MLB team is cold right now?
The talent-rich Toronto Blue Jays will be a tough out come October should they earn a playoff berth. But with a 3-7 mark over their last 10 games, the Jays enter the final week of June in a third-place tie with Tampa Bay in the AL East with a 40-32 mark.

Toronto ranks in the top five in home runs and batting average, but is doing most of its damage at Rogers Centre where it begins a three-game set with Boston tonight. The Jays are only 19-18 on the road, so maybe 8 straight at home will help fuel a turnaround.
MLB players: Who is in hot form?
Texas’s Martin Perez is pitching lights-out and one of the biggest reasons why the Rangers are creeping near the .500 mark. But how much longer can the southpaw continue to dazzle in his second go-round with the team he played his first seven seasons with?
“I want to be here and stay here, 100 percent. No, make it 300 percent." 💯💯💯

Martín Pérez is happy to be back and knows he wants to stay. 🏡

In his 11th season in the majors, Perez enters Monday’s outing at Kansas City with ridiculous numbers compared to his career up to this point. He’s 5-2 with a 1.96 ERA and 1.13 WHIP. With a career ERA of 4.51, the shoe has to drop on Perez at some point.
MLB Players: Who is out of form?
While on pace to drive in 50 runs as a soon-to-be 39-year old, Cincinnati’s Joey Votto is performing far below his career norms particularly when it comes to batting average.

It seems longer than a year ago that Votto raked with 36 homers, 99 RBIs and a .266 average. He’s currently batting .208 —bringing his career average below .300 — and is on pace for a mere 11 dingers. Votto and the Reds begin a three-game series at Wrigley Field against the Cubs on Tuesday.
