Which MLB team is hot right now?
The Philadelphia Phillies are riding their second 5-game winning streak in less than two weeks after pushing around the depleted Washington Nationals over the weekend for a four-game sweep.
Darick Hall, one of the reasons the Phils have stayed afloat during Bryce Harper’s absence, blasted two homers on Sunday and Aaron Nola dominated on the mound. Philadelphia is now 60-48 and get Miami next for three games.
Which MLB team is cold right now?
The New York Yankees no longer hold the best record in the American League and now share the best record in their own state with the Mets. The Yanks are 70-39 after dropping their fifth straight and are a half-game behind Houston for the top seed in the AL.
What a weekend.

Let’s break down three pivotal moments, one from each game, that led to a three-game Cardinals sweep of the New York Yankees. #STLCards https://t.co/66efYJKLJA
The Yanks are 41-15 at home but now only five games over .500 on the road and could be in trouble again tonight. Their 9-game road trip continues in Seattle against the surging Mariners.

MLB players: Who is in hot form?
Surrounded by star power in the lineup and the dugout, Jeff McNeil is often overlooked when it comes to daily fantasy players. But, fans of the New York Mets know how valuable he is to an offense.
A career .300 hitter across 463 games, McNeil is heating up at the same time as the pennant race. Over the past nine days, he’s a sizzling 17-for-39 at the plate with eight extra-base hits including a couple of homers.

MLB Players: Who is out of form?
Just like summers in San Francisco, Austin Slater is on the cold side. He keeps getting chances to prove himself — he started six straight games from July 30-Aug. 4 — but failed to give Giants manager Gabe Kapler reason to have any confidence leading him off or playing him at all.
Slater is mired in a 4-for-28 slump and has San Diego lefty Blake Snell staring down the barrel tonight.

Anthony Rizzo
The suddenly struggling Yankees can use a healthy birthday boy Anthony Rizzo in the lineup tonight against Seattle’s Logan Gilbert. Rizzo was sidelined all weekend in St. Louis while dealing with a back problem that caused him to miss four games in July as well.
It's so hard to pick just one for the birthday boy, but I think if I had to pick my favorite Anthony Rizzo catch, it would be the ballet act on the wall: pic.twitter.com/PZimi4rs6s

Rizzo, who turns 33 today, has 27 homers and 66 RBIs on the year and needs 22 more long balls to reach 300 for his career.
