+525 Sunday Night Football Parlay Analysis
Los Angeles Rams vs. Detroit Lions - Sunday, January 14, 8:15PM ET
LEG 1: Matthew Stafford (LAR) Over 275.5 Passing Yards (-115)
What a hit last night! We nailed the only Dolphins touchdown of the night and the rest of our parlay handled itself in the first half. Let's get right back at it.
There's no questioning the narrative and likely emotionally charged atmosphere of this game, particularly for Matthew Stafford. The best QB the Lions ever had will now try to eliminate that very franchise from postseason contention after securing their first division title since 1993. Stafford has all the tools in place to get that done, with a dynamic running back in Kyren Williams and two of the league's premier YAC monsters in Cooper Kupp and Puka Nacua. All three of these guys can break huge plays and rack up the yards, particularly Kyren Williams who has flashed his skill as a pass-catcher out of the backfield.
Those YAC skills will come into play as we are backing Stafford's passing yards over. Not only does our model identify Stafford with a 63.4% probability to clear his 279.5 yards mark, but we see that he's projected for a 316-yard total, blowing by this line with ease, particularly against a Detroit defense that ranked 27th against the pass during the regular season.

LEG 2: David Montgomery (DET) Over 56.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
Let's slide over to the other sideline and back David Montgomery to hit his rushing yards over. Monty had his best season yet, particularly in the TD department, while running for over 1,000 yards in 14 games. He failed to clear this mark in four of those games; one in which he was injured, and two in which he went under by a combined 2 yards. He should see at minimum 12 carries, with a ceiling pushing 20 touches.
The Rams have a middle-of-the-pack rushing defense, allowing 106.8 rushing yards per game. As long as the Lions aren't trailing significantly, they are a run-heavy team, sporting the 11th-highest rushing rate during the regular season. DimersBOT gives Monty a 64.9% probability to go over this number, which comes with a 12.6% edge on its own. We're projecting him for a 61-yard game, so not exactly smashing this line, but things line up well for Montgomery in this one.
LEG 3: Amon-Ra St. Brown (DET) Anytime Touchdown (+115)
As always, we close out with our favorite touchdown prop in this game and we're looking no further than the Sun God himself, Amon-Ra St. Brown. For starters, St. Brown gets the third-highest touchdown probability in this game at 54.6%, trailing only Kyren Williams and his teammate Jahmyr Gibbs. Simply put, Amon-Ra is one of the best wide receivers in the league. He had more games this season with either 100 yards, a touchdown or both, than he does without. Now he'll get a Rams defense that has struggled to contain top wideouts.
What really appeals to us about this prop, aside from St. Brown's incredible talent, is the value in his odds. Based on our probability, his odds shouldn't be any better than -120, yet we are getting one of the best players in this game with a high total at plus money. It's a no-brainer.
