La Liga Soccer Week 5 Best Bets
Cadiz vs. Barcelona Best Bet
Kickoff: Saturday 12:30PM ET
Barcelona have a trip to Estadio Nuevo Mirandilla to face a Cadiz team who sit bottom of La Liga. The Catalans are in great form, having put five goals past Viktoria Plzen in the Champions League this past week. Crucially they play Bayern Munich on Tuesday and may rest some players because of that.
Don’t let the threat of Barcelona resting players, even Robert Lewandowski put you off this bet. This is truly a terrible Cadiz team. Through four games they’ve conceded 10 games and incredibly they are yet to score a single goal.
There’s enough depth in this Barcelona squad to be confident that they inflict a heavy defeat on Cadiz, even with their best players rested.
BET: Barcelona -2 at +185 at Caesars
Real Madrid vs. Mallorca Best Bet
Kickoff: Saturday 8:00AM ET
Real Madrid sit top of La Liga having won all three games. Now they face a Mallorca team who are down in 11th and I’m expecting to see lots of bookings.
In just four La Liga games this Mallorca team have picked up 20 yellow cards, averaging five per game, 22-year old CB Copete has three of those bookings himself. He’ll play on the right side of Mallorca’s back three which means he’s likely to match up against Eden Hazard, who now looks on the way back to his best, and Vinicius Junior. Even if he gets help from his right wingback I’m expecting to see his name in the book given that he’ll struggle against the speed and guile of the Los Blancos attack.

Elche vs. Athletic Bilbao Best Bet
Kickoff: Sunday 10:15AM ET
Athletic Bilbao have had a great start to La Liga, winning two of their first four games and drawing another, now they face a road trip to play Elche who are yet to record a victory.
The visitors have only conceded one goal all season and are unlikely to be trouble by Elche who themselves have only managed to score one through these first four games.
Bilbao’s attack hasn’t been brilliant this year but Elche have conceded nine goals this season and they have an xGA (Expected Goals Against) of 10.36, implying that they’ve been fortunate to only give up the nine goals.
With Athletic Bilbao playing at this high level and Elche looking miserable at both ends of the pitch we have to take the -106 on the away side to win this, which looks like real value.
BET: Athletic Bilbao to win at -106 at Caesars
