Los Angeles Dodgers and Shohei Ohtani: How to Get the Best World Series Odds

The Los Angeles Dodgers have won the Shohei Ohtani sweepstakes after locking up the two-way superstar with an utterly jaw-dropping 10-year, $700 million contract. The latest news around the deal is that almost all of it, ($680M) will be deferred for years down the line, meaning the Dodgers can skirt the luxury tax every year and afford to pay out more players. It's a true one-of-a-kind situation with a one-of-a-kind player.

Heck, Dimers told you way back in the middle of June to parlay every futures bet you were going to make with Shohei Ohtani to win the AL MVP because he was going to win. And he did, and we won some money. Hopefully, you listened to us then and made some money, too.

Where to Bet on the Dodgers' World Series Odds

The sportsbooks know how big of a move this is as they've shortened the Dodgers' World Series odds to just +550, down from around +700 or longer depending on where you look. That kind of movement in the offseason could only come from a monumental injury or signing, which is what we've seen here. However, if you've been smart enough to listen to Dimers and get yourself multiple books as we've regularly reported via our sportsbook reviews, you might have a one-time chance to get the Dodgers at +1000 to win it all. But you'll have to be quick about it, as it will only last until the end of the day on Wednesday, December 13.

Dimers has learned and is happy to report that selected DraftKings users have been receiving an "odds freeze" promo for the Los Angeles Dodgers to win the World Series. This promo allows you to bet the Dodgers at a price of +1000, as high as it will be all year long barring anything catastrophic. And if you're a new user at DraftKings, you could collect a $150 sign-up bonus and then bet on the Dodgers at +1000 up to a $25 max bet.

Get Your $150 Bonus From DraftKings

First things first, you have to be signed up at DraftKings  to see if you've got this offer, so if you're a new user make sure you head here to sign up.

From there, you'll just need to make one $5 wager in order to qualify for $150 in bonus bets! These bets will be issued as six $25 bets for you to use on anything you choose, except pre-boosted wagers like this Dodgers bet.

If you haven't already, tap the offer below to sign up.

Why You Need to Bet on the Dodgers at +1000

Now that you've got your DraftKings account and $150 in extra bonus bets in your pocket, let's talk how you can get this promo on the Dodgers and why it's a can't-miss opportunity. If you're fortunate enough to receive this targeted promo, you'll find it right at the top of your DraftKings app. Once you opt-in to the promo, you'll need to select the Dodgers to win the World Series at their current odds, then you'll be able to add the boost to your betslip and get the Dodgers up to +1000, which would return $250 of profit if you bet the max.

So, more importantly, is it a good bet?

Well, Los Angeles has one of the best hitting lineups in MLB and it only got better with Shohei Ohtani added in. Freddie Freeman, Mookie Betts, Max Muncy...the lineup is sluggers all the way through and Ohtani adds not just an elite home run bat, but a top-tier arm to the rotation. They also expect hurler Walker Buehler back from Tommy John surgery. This makes them one of the most lethal rosters both offensively and on the mound. With the deferred contract for Ohtani, don't be surprised to see them make even more moves to put them over the top this offseason.

Now, they'll have to contend with a hot, up-and-coming Arizona Diamondbacks team that they had to watch represent the NL West in the World Series, but they'll be the favorite to win the division until there's a true balance of power shift. The Padres just shipped off Juan Soto to the Yankees and haven't been able to hang with the Dodgers as-is. It's likely to be a two-team race in the NL West meaning their path to the postseason is as open as it's ever been.

RELATED: Dimers' Best MLB Futures Odds

From our model's perspective, the signing of Shohei Ohtani bumps the Dodgers' World Series probability up to 12.0%. This is a light update, as our model isn't fully prepared to run simulations with many rosters in flux and plenty of time for more signings, but it's still indicating a strong uptick for Los Angeles. For context, +1000 odds imply just a 9% probability, which gives us a 3% edge in the odds, so realistically the odds for L.A. should be closer to +750.

That means two things: One, this is a must-bet at +1000. As stated earlier, it's unlikely you'll find the Dodgers' odds this long at any point in the season, barring something like a major injury. Two, it means the Dodgers' odds at +550 are not good value, so if you want to bet on them, this is the way to do it.

So, if you've got your $150 bonus and this Dodgers promo, what are you waiting for? Get to betting!
