How to Bet MLB on Opening Day
With our on-the-house bonus bet, we're going to identify three ways to use it and bet on Opening Day, notable pulling from our Dimers Pro predictions.
Launched on March 11, Dimers Pro is our brand-new subscription service that packages every single one of our in-house tools, features and host of data into one convenient plan, available for less than $1/day.
With a proven track record of delivering winners, finding value and keeping your betting experience entertaining, Dimers Pro is a no-brainer for this MLB season. Learn more here or via the card below!
Option #1 - Mookie Betts & Yordan Alvarez HR Parlay (+1868)
Let's look at a little two-leg dinger parlay with some props from the Dimers Pro offerings to start the season. Mookie Betts actually cashed our first two MLB props of the entire year in the Seoul Series with a HR blast. Now, we're going to ask him to do the same when the Dodgers play their first game of the season on U.S. soil.
Betts gets a 23.4% probability to launch one today, the second-highest of the day. At +425 on DraftKings, we're getting about a 5.0% edge. He'll face the Cards' Miles Mikolas, who was in the bottom 22% of the league in Barrels, Exit Velo and Hard-Hit % last year, allowing 26 home runs.
HR VALUE: Get 40+ Opening Day home run props
Our second leg is Astros slugger Yordan Alvarez, who draws our highest HR probability of them all at 25.8%. Not much value in his in his standalone prop as he's just +275 on DraftKings, while he's at +325 on BetMGM. Yanks starter Nestor Cortes allowed 1.56 HR/9 last season in limited work due to injuries.
Option #2 - A Braves-Astros World Series Matchup (+1498)
What better way to begin the year than by looking way, way ahead? We've previously highlighted the Braves as a value play in the futures market, given that they have our model's highest probability to win the World Series, and are our favorite to win the NL over the Dodgers.
At 44.9% to win the NL, the Braves should be no better than about +125 according to DimersBOT. That's a substantial difference from the +240 on DraftKings. You can even get them as high as +300 at BetMGM.
On the flip side, we give the Astros a 24.6% probability to win the American League. As other AL contenders like the Yankees deal with some injuries to key players like Gerrit Cole and the Orioles continue to develop their young team, our model favors the veteran Astros. They're the favorite at +370, but we calculate their fair odds at +300.
Bet them to meet each other in the Fall Classic for just under 15/1 odds.
Option #3 - A DimersBOT Hits Parlay (+922)
Our final option puts even more of the freedom in your hands, but still has our model do the heavy lifting.
Fire up our Parlay Picker to cook up an MLB Opening Day parlay tailored to your specifications.
Choose the number of legs, whether to include props, moneylines, totals or spreads, the risk level...you name it. Swap legs out as you see fit and watch DimersBOT do the work for you.
This one below is what we spun up, but Dimers Pro gives you the power to customize the output to your liking.
No matter how you bet on Opening Day and beyond, Dimers Pro is must-have tool for the 2024 season. Our in-house models will find the best MLB player props, futures bets and everything you need to make this MLB season the most memorable yet.
