How DimersBOT Is Betting Trae Young Props Tonight
Trae Young and his Atlanta Hawks take on the Miami Heat tonight, with last year's Eastern Conference runners-up fighting for their season.
Although many people may see this series as over either way, it's a big one for prop bettors, with it possibly being the last time we can get behind Young this season.
In this series thus far, the Heat have very much had a hold of Young, with the two-time All-Star averaging just 16.5 points and 6.0 assists per game, which is a far cry from his numbers of 28.8 points and 9.5 assists per game in the 2021 Playoffs.
Trae is also yet to score 30+ points these playoffs, a number he reached eight times in their 2021 run:
- Game 3 vs. Bucks: 35 points, 4 assists
- Game 1 @ Bucks: 48 points, 11 assists
- Game 6 vs. Sixers: 34 points, 12 assists
- Game 5 @ Sixers: 39 points, 7 assists
- Game 1 @ Sixers: 35 points, 10 assists
- Game 5 vs. Knicks: 36 points, 9 assists
- Game 2 @ Knicks: 30 points, 7 assists
- Game 1 @ Knicks: 32 points, 10 assists
Tonight, though, could be the night where he reaches last season's heights, with DimersBOT projecting Young for 27 points, 3 boards and 10 dimes in Game 5.
These projections look nice for us prop bettors, with his lines at FanDuel Sportsbook currently sitting at 25.5 for points and 8.5 for assists.

The smartest way to bet Young tonight though may be by combining the two, with his points + assists line at 34.5. This way, if he gets going on one end (say he scores 30 points or drops 15 assists), then your bet is going to look pretty damn good.

Speaking on the series so far, Young stated that he hasn't been defended in this manner for years, saying "I haven't been guarded like this ... since like high school. Obviously, it's way better competition, so it's hard for me to score a lot more through the double teams and face guards."
Although this may seen to go against our bet up above, he's too good to not have one big game in a series, with the young guard already showing on multiple occasions that he can figure out how to get around strong defenses. This is highlighted by Games 5 and 6 against the Sixers last season, where he posted 34 points & 12 assists, and 39 points & 7 assists.
