Wednesday MLB Parlay Analysis

Diamondbacks vs, Nationals 7:05PM ET

LEG 1: Christian Walker 1+ HR (+360) with FanDuel

Christian Walker came through for us last Wednesday and we're riding with him again. He hasn't hit a homer since so he must clearly be saving it for us today! DimersBOT gives Walker a 29% chance to go yard against the Nats and we're getting about an 8% edge against the +360 at FanDuel. Walker has twelve home runs on the year. He's right on pace to match his career-high of 36 from last season. He generally sprays his home runs out to left field, and Nationals Park has a modest left field fence of 336 ft. In fact, all but two of his 12 of his home runs this year would have been gone in D.C.

For a pitching matchup, he'll start things off against one of our favorite targets, Mr. Patrick Corbin. The Nationals starter is atrocious in almost every pitching metric, particularly against batted balls and hard-hit blasts. Our man has given up a home run in 8 of his 12 starts this year which bodes well for us. And even better? Washington's bullpen has allowed the second-most HRs all year (33).

Dodgers vs. Reds 7:10PM ET

LEG 2: Freddie Freeman 1+ HR (+340) with FanDuel

What is there to say about one of the hottest players in baseball? Freddie Freeman is fresh off a 20-game hitting streak during which he hit five of his eleven home runs this year. He's just about the only threat to my +3420 Ohtani-Acuna MVP ticket and for good reason. Freeman's batting metrics are otherworldy; his expected slugging and batting average are in the top-most percentile of the majors.

He'll draw a matchup with Cincy's young pitching prospect Brandon Williamson, who's made just four starts this year. Williamson has almost never faced a hitter of Freeman's caliber so he'll have quite the challenge. In addition to this matchup, Freddie gets the confines of Great American Ballpark, one of the most home-run-friendly parks in baseball. Per Statcast, Freeman would have 16 home runs if he only played in the Reds' house. He went yard last night and our model projects him with a 28% chance to go back-to-back.
