Wednesday MLB Parlay Analysis
Orioles vs. Blue Jays 7:05PM ET
LEG 1: Bo Bichette 1+ HR (+675) with BetMGM
You probably wouldn't believe this, but Bo Bichette is Toronto's home run leader so far this season with 14. You'd expect it to be Vladdy (who let us down again yesterday) but here we are, with Bichette leading the offense in batting average, HR and RBI. Our model gives the long-haired shortstop a 24% chance to go yard tonight, in turn giving us a healthy 11% edge in the odds of +675.
He'll open this divisional showdown against the O's Kyle Bradish (4.25 ERA). Bradish isn't a full-on home run pitcher, but he's certainly vulnerable. Four of his five home runs allowed have come off of righties like Bichette. Additionally, Bichette has a pair of homers off Bradish in just 12 at-bats. This is the first time they'll face each other all year and that has to be nagging Bradish in the back of his mind. Most of Bichette's HRs this year have gone out to left-center and Camden Yards' left field fence is 333 feet at its shortest. Let's go, Bo!
LEG 2: Ryan O'Hearn 1+ HR (+400) with BetMGM
We head across the diamond to the other dugout with Orioles first-baseman Ryan O'Hearn. Our model gives him a 24% chance to hit a home run against the Blue Jays and we get a respectable 6% +EV with these odds. O'Hearn has just five home runs this year, but three of them have come in his past six games, including back-to-back nights and we're going for three-straight games tonight.
We've got a bit of a theme with tonight's hitter vs. pitcher matchups, as like Bichette, O'Hearn also has a pair of dingers against his opposition, Toronto's Jose Berrios. After a quiet month of April to start the season, Berrios ran into some HR trouble, allowing six in as many starts in May. He's given up 29 and 22 home runs in each of the past two seasons so he's good for at least a homer in any start.
