Tonight's parlay features players from the Orioles vs. Blue Jays and Dodgers vs. White Sox games as we compare our MLB predictions data against the sportsbook lines to try and determine where we might have an edge over the 'books. Orioles vs. Blue Jays - 7:05PM EST

LEG 1: Vladimir Guerrero Jr. 1+ HR (+350) with BetMGM

Hello, old friend. Vladimir Guerrero Jr. has been in this column several times this season, and while he's come through for us less often than not, we really like his chances tonight. For starters, he gets a 31% chance to go yard from our model, and that comes with a 9% edge in the odds over the books. Guerrero Jr. has nine homers on the year but just one so far in June. Making contact hasn't been his issue, however, as he's had at least one hit in all but two games this month. 

This game could be just what the doctor ordered for Vladdy who will open this matchup against the Orioles' Dean Kremer (4.89 ERA). Kremer has allowed 12 home runs this season, and his expected home runs sit at 13.6, meaning he's gotten a bit lucky. His Statcast metrics paint a pitcher who fits the home run profile, as he's bottom 20% of the league in HardHit%, xSLG, BArrel % and Avg Exit Velocity, all favorable traits when looking for a home run.

Guerrero Jr. has a lifetime .316 batting average against Kremer, with four career home runs in just 19 at-bats. He's got Kremer's number and he's due for a dinger, a great combination in our favor.

Dodgers vs. White Sox - 10:10PM EST

LEG 2: J.D. Martinez 1+ HR (+425) with BetMGM

We're closing things out with Tuesday's nightcap. Hopefully, Vladdy gets us home early so we can sweat this one out. We wouldn't have expected to include J.D. Martinez in a home run parlay at the start of this season, but here we are.

After signing a one-year deal with the Dodgers, Martinez is having a resurgent year in the home run department, hammering 16 dingers through 50 games. He hit 16 all of last season and it took him 139 games. He's actually on pace for his highest HR total since 2019. DimersBOT gives our man a 29% chance to hit a bomb, good enough for 10% +EV in the odds.

Martinez draws a pitching matchup against White Sox starter Lance Lynn. It's been a fall from grace for Lynn, who has struggled to find his 2021 All-Star form. It's possible the pitch clock has been tough for him to adjust to as his numbers are worse across the board compared to last season, which was already a slight decline.

Lynn has nearly matched his allowed home run total from the last two seasons (18 and 19) with 16 HRs allowed so far, tied for the second-most in the league. J.D. doesn't have a great lifetime average against Lynn, but he's yet to face this far more mortal version.
