Saturday MLB Parlay Analysis

Phillies vs. Nationals 4:10PM ET

LEG 1: Bryce Harper 1+ HR (+390) with FanDuel

There's almost nothing better than betting on a guy to hit a home run against his former team, and we get just that with Bryce Harper today. Harper made a lightspeed return from Tommy John surgery and has been right back to his old ways. He isn't slugging home runs at a crazy clip but he's making contact and batting .292. The guy came back from Tommy John and has a max exit velocity in the top 9% of the league.

Our model gives Harper a chunky 28% chance to hit a home run today. He generally sprays his home runs out to right field, and Nationals Park has a fairly short porch of 33- ft. He gets a matchup with MacKenzie Gore who has allowed eight home runs this year, including in three straight.

Padres vs. Cubs, 10:10PM ET

LEG 2: Juan Soto 1+ HR (+430) with FanDuel

Another former National slugger, we head to the nightcap for leg number two. Juan Soto gets a 24.5% chance to hit a bomb, good enough for a slight 4% edge in the odds. After a rough start to the season, Childish Bambino has been heating up along with the weather. He posted five home runs in each month of April and May but is looking for his first in six games, putting him right on pace for one today.

Soto is a beast at the plate, sporting StatCast metrics in the top 5-10 percentile of the league in most hitting categories, and he'll need those tools today. Cubs' starter Drew Smyly doesn't profile as a home run pitcher, but his lack of swing-and-miss stuff will have Soto chasing him often. Soto generally hits third in the order so he should have at least four chance to tee one off.
