After a hotter than hell August, the Dodgers have slowed up a little to start the month of September, and that includes the form of Lance Lynn whose honeymoon period came to an end last start in a 8-7 loss to the Braves where he gave up three home runs. Giving up dingers has been a regular occurrence for Lynn despite Los Angeles' ability to still grind out wins, and he should be a target for bettors tonight against the Marlins.

Our model's top pick from Miami for this one is Jesus Sanchez. The odds are huge, due in part to his position way down the order, but that's what makes this pick so appealing with an edge detected at 5%. Sanchez is a man who can crush the fastball; something Lynn has been getting mashed on himself. There might only be a limited window of opportunity for Sanchez to make the most of things, but it's value worth betting on.

White Sox vs. Royals 7:40PM ET

LEG 2: Lenyn Sosa (+800) with PointsBet

Another hitter whose odds are tanked because of where he is lining up in the batting order, our model has its eyes locked in on Lenyn Sosa to continue his impressive recent form. The White Sox slugger has hit three home runs in the past nine days and has recorded a hit in eight of his last 10 games. The Royals will be up against it from the jump tonight with starter Jordan Lyles enduring an awful patch of form, allowing 12 home runs in his last six starts. With those kinds of numbers, anyone wearing black and white is a threat tonight, including the guys way down the order at tasty odds. Our model has a 4.3% edge on Sosa to go yard.
