Cardinals vs. Orioles 6:35PM ET

LEG 1: Ryan Mountcastle (+475) with PointsBet

Ryan Mountcastle smokes lefties and he gets a beauty of a matchup this evening when his O's face the Cardinals and their starting left-hander, Drew Rom. Rom will be getting his fifth start of the season, giving up home runs in three of his four starts to date, including two home runs against the Reds last time out on September 8.

Mountcastle is prime here, with our model predicting him with a 6.7% edge. The Baltimore slugger is batting .340 against lefties this season, hitting a whopping 12 home runs off of them, seven more than the next best Oriole against left-handed pitching.

It's one of those picks that almost makes too much sense.

Athletics vs. Astros 7:10PM ET

LEG 2: Yordan Alvarez (+300) with PointsBet

When Paul Blackburn is on the mound for the Athletics, generally home run bettors should stay away with the ace giving up just three home runs in his last 10 starts. Buuuuuut, he struggles against the Astros. Three Houston hitters have all had fruitful outings against Blackburn with Yordan Alvarez, Alex Bregman and Jose Altuve all boasting career home runs against the right-hander.

Alvarez is the man most likely tonight, according to our model who gives him a 29% chance of going yard. The 26-year-old has been hitting the ball well as of late, notching a hit in six of his last seven games with three home runs so far this month.
