Wednesday MLB Parlay Analysis
Royals vs. Red Sox 7:10PM ET
LEG 1: Rafael Devers (+265) with FanDuel
We are looking for a Beantown bomb to get things started and lock in Rafael Devers against the lowly Royals. Devers has tallied 26 home runs this year with a beautiful display of power and precision. He can blast one to any part of the field and has done so all year long, with about a third of his home runs heading to the opposite field. He also knows how to wrap them inside Pesky's Pole in Fenway Park. Raffy has just one hit through 8 at-bats in this series with the Royals so far, so he's hungry, and tonight, he gets a matchup to feast on.
Jordan Lyles of the Royals toes the rubber tonight as one of MLB's most home-run-vulnerable starting pitchers. With a 17th-percentile Barrel % and an 11th-percentile xSLG, he's given up 23 home runs through 118.1 innings this year, for a 1.75 home runs per 9 IP. Devers has excelled against right-handed pitchers, hitting 18 of his dingers off of them. Through 17 plate appearances vs. Lyles, Devers has a 1.059 OPS with a home run.

LEG 2: Mookie Betts 1+ HR (+400) with FanDuel
For our second leg, we're staying up late (unless he launches one for us nice and early) as we look to Mookie Betts in the late window against Merril Kelly and the Diamondbacks. Mookie's talent speaks for itself; he is a power hitter who also has a strong .279 batting average. He's got 28 home runs this year, including one last night, so we're hoping he makes it back-to-back celebrations for us. His home run applicable Statcast metrics rank as high as the top 3% and no lower than the top 17% across MLB. July was a bit of a quiet month compared to the nine homers he put up in each of May and June, but he's started out August with a bang.
He'll step up to the plate against the D-Backs' Merril Kelly to start this one, and boy does Betts love when he draws this matchup. Not only have 20 of BEtts' 31 homers come off righties like Kelly, but in 31 plate appearances, he's hit 3 homers with a .985 OPS. Kelly has allowed three home runs in as many starts since returning from a stint on the IL. The Diamondbacks' bullpen has also allowed the fourth-most home runs this season (55).
Mookie likes to hit his home runs to left-centerfield, which happens to be Chase Field's shortest porch and where most home runs tend to leave the stadium.
