LEG 1: George Springer (+450) with DraftKings
We start things off in the Windy City where the weather is living up to Chicago's namesake, giving us a great environment for our first home run. George Springer gets a 28% probability from DimersBOT to go yard tonight and that will give us a respectable 8% edge in the odds. He's hit 12 home runs this season, including two in his past eight games. Plus, in Guaranteed Rate Field where they are playing tonight, his expected home run total for the season goes up to 14. Springer has come up big for us before in this parlay and we like his chances tonight even more than usual.
Lance Lynn takes the mound for the White Sox and what a treat that is. An All-Star just two years ago, Lynn is this season's home run leader among pitchers, having allowed 22 dingers so far. His career high is 27 back in 2017, putting him on pace for his worst season yet in that category. Through 17 starts, he has just three games where he didn't give up at least one home run and six starts where he gave up at least two. He was tagged for three in his last outing and there's no reason to think he'll turn it around against this strong Toronto lineup tonight. Even further in our favor is a White Sox bullpen that has allowed 42 home runs, tied for third-most in the league.

LEG 2: J.D. Martinez 1+ HR (+400) with DraftKings
Our second leg is featured in the nightcap of the MLB slate as we lock in veteran slugger J.D. Martinez to go yard. As we've looked at before in this column, Martinez is having a great return to form this season after signing a one-year deal with the Dodgers. He's up to 19 Dodger Dongs on the year, on pace for his best season since his career-high of 43 back in 2018. He's homer-less (and nearly hitless) in July but Martinez never slumps for long. He's got one of the highest probabilities from DimersBOT on the whole slate at 35% as well as a top-five edge at 14.7%.
His pitching matchup is fair; he faces the Pirates' Osvaldo Bido, a rookie who's made just four starts this year. He's allowed one home run through 19 innings but has yet to face a lineup as potent as this Dodgers team. His sample size is too small to glean any majorly useful info from his metrics, however, he's a fastball pitcher with average velocity which is a pretty great matchup for a power-hitting vet like Martinez. We'll back DimersBOT's projections and lean on the experience and strength of J.D. against a rookie under the bright lights of Dodger Stadium.
