Saturday MLB Parlay Analysis

Giants vs. Braves 7:20PM ET

LEG 1: Austin Riley 1+ HR (+450) with PointsBet

Where better to start than with the team that has the most home runs in all of Major League Baseball? The Braves are on a record pace with 232 homers hit so far this season. That's 40 more than the next team, which happens to be the Dodgers. We're going with the slugger on the hot corner, Austin Riley in this one. Riley gets a 22% chance to go yard tonight which gives us a 4% edge in the best available odds. He's one of the hottest hitters in baseball, with nine home runs in the past month.

He's up against the Giants who will send Logan Webb to the mound. Webb is having a good season but he's still given up 17 home runs and has a HardHit % in the bottom-ninth percentile of the league. He's worse against right-handed batters and Riley has hit 22 of his 29 home runs off of right-handed pitchers like Webb. Through 11 at-bats, Riley has a .364 average against Webb, as well.

Orioles vs. Athletics 9:07PM ET

LEG 2: Adley Rutschman 1+ HR (+650) with PointsBet

To close out the parlay we go to the west coast for the final game of the slate and lock in Adley Rutschman to hit a bomb against the hapless Athletics. Rutschman has smacked 16 homers this year, passing last year's rookie mark of 13 in just as many games. He hits absolute bombs, too, with all but three of them going for 400+ feet. He's a switch-hitter so he can line up as needed against any pitcher he faces tonight, be it the Athletics' bottom-of-the-barrel bullpen (67 home runs allowed) or tonight's scheduled starter, Ken Waldichuk.

Waldichuk has allowed 16 home runs in just 99.1 innings of work this season at a rate of 1.45 HR/9. Most of his home runs did come earlier in the season, but he's still vulnerable without any of his home run-applicable pitching metrics in the upper half of the league. As mentioned, the A's bullpen gives up the second-most home runs in baseball and with Rutschman leading off for the Orioles, we'll have the most opportunities possible to cash.
