Green Bay Packers 2022 Win Total Prediction, Computer Picks and Super Bowl Odds

The 2022 NFL season is firmly on the horizon and over the coming weeks the Dimers crew will break down the chances of each and every team, all vying for Super Bowl 57 glory in Glendale, Arizona come February.

Let's take a look at the key factors to consider when betting on the Green Bay Packers in the 2022 NFL season.

The Packers' annual tradition of disappointing in the playoffs after a stellar regular season continued last year. Can Aaron Rodgers and company break that trend this year?

Green Bay Packers 2022 Win Total - 11

The Green Bay Packers’ narrative for the past two seasons has been a familiar one – they win 13 games, dominate the NFC North, Rodgers wins yet another MVP award and then Cheeseheads are left in tears after their beloved team chokes in the playoffs. While signing Rodgers to a contract extension in March put an end to the annual off-season drama of where he might go, how the Packers fare this season may boil down to how well Rodgers performs without his favorite target, wide receiver Davante Adams, who was traded to the Las Vegas Raiders.

Green Bay’s schedule features tough road matchups against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Buffalo Bills, as well as a marquee Monday night home game against the defending champs, the Los Angeles Rams. But the Packers also have an easy stretch of games against the New England Patriots, New York Giants, New York Jets, and Washington Commanders. And this is a football team that our model is very high on this season. But the DimersBOT views Green Bay as more of a playoff team than a regular season team this year.

DimersBOT: In our model's 10,000 simulations of the upcoming NFL season, the Packers averaged 10.76 wins per year. With that in mind, we'd simply stay away from betting on their win total. But we do see some long-term value in backing Green Bay to make a run.

Green Bay Packers X-Factor - Christian Watson, WR

Green Bay's second-round draft pick has an opportunity to make an immediate impact at wide receiver following the off-season exits of Adams and Marquez Valdes-Scantling. Watson produced more than 3,200 career all-purpose yards at North Dakota State.

Watson also is adept at kickoff returning, which is an area in which the Packers desperately need help. He even had 392 rushing yards for an average of 8.0 yards per carry, making him a triple threat. One area of concern is Watson’s dropped passes at the Packers’ OTAs, so keep an eye on that once the regular season starts.

Another rookie wide receiver who could make a splash is fourth-round pick Romeo Doubs, who had more than 1,000 receiving yards in each of his two seasons at Nevada. Doubs has been making a lot of plays for Green Bay since the start of preseason. He looks like he can be a potential steal.

If either of these two players can make some plays immediately, betting the Packers to win Super Bowl 57 at +900 on DraftKings is a solid play!

Green Bay Packers Super Bowl 57 Chances

The Packers might not have Adams at wideout anymore, but they have one of the best running back duos in the league with Aaron Jones and AJ Dillon. The two of them are both capable of making plays as pass catchers too. With that in mind, it's just hard to worry about the Green Bay offense. In fact, we're not going to do that until Rodgers is no longer under center.

The Packers also happen to have an elite defense and they play in a division that is always there for the taking.

DimersBOT: The DimersBOT only has two teams, the Bills and Buccaneers, ahead of the Packers as far as Super Bowl contention goes. With that in mind, Green Bay is absolutely worthy of a futures bet.
