College Basketball Picks Against The Spread - Wednesday, November 6

Here are the top five college basketball picks against the spread for Wednesday, November 6, ranked by their probability of success, starting with the highest:

SDSU (-10.5) vs. UC San Diego

SDSU is the only favorite predicted to cover in the top of our probabilities today as they play host to cross-city rival UC San Diego. At a 58.0% probability of covering the spread, this bet is also one of our best college basketball bets of the day based on value. With 5.6% edge, we say this bet should be closer to -150, while you can get odds of -110 on the sportsbooks. The Aztecs boasted a 14-1 record at home last season and will look to win this one with ease and cover the spread.

Sacred Heart (+35.5) vs. UCONN

The second in-state matchup in this list, No. 3 ranked Connecticut will host Sacred Heart University as heavy favorites. UCONN has been a powerhouse and is looking for their third consecutive NCAA Championship. As they open their season against the Pioneers, our model predicts a decisive win for the Huskies but not for them to cover the spread, giving SHU a 58.3% probability of covering the +35.5 points and by a good amount, with our average final score 89-60 in favor of the Huskies. This also presents a good edge against the books, with odds of -110 widely available.

UCONN guard Alex Karaban is the team's highest-returning scorer from last season.

Eastern Washington (+7.5) vs. Seattle

At a +7.5 spread, Eastern Washington University hosts Seattle University, the third in-state matchup of the day. The Eagles host the Redhawks as an underdog, but our model likes their odds to cover, giving them a 54.8% probability of doing so and almost at plus-money odds. The Eagles had an 8-3 record against the spread as underdogs last season.

Texas Rio Grande Valley (+31.5) vs. Creighton

As another heavy favorite, Creighton gets a 98% win probability vs. Texas Rio Grande Valley, though the 31.5-point spread may be too much for them to cover. In our average final score of 91-67, we see the Vaqueros losing by an average margin of just 24, a full 7.5 points less than the spread of 31.5. The No. 15-ranked Blue Jays should win this one with ease, but we give UTRGV a 55.05 probability to cover the spread.

Texas A&M-Commerce (+10) vs. South Dakota

Our final Top 5 spread probability is for Texas A&M Commerce to keep it close when they travel to South Dakota as 10-point underdogs. At 54.3%, we get a 2.0% edge against the sportsbook odds for the Lions to cover vs. the Coyotes on the road. Though it's the lowest probability of the top 5, it still presents a betting opportunity based on the -110 odds available.
