Top MLB Betting Trends for Wednesday, June 28
1. Christian Walker (ARI) To Record an RBI
Frequency: 9 of last 14 games
Odds: +135
Besides rookie phenom Corbin Carroll, D-Backs' veteran Christian Walker has been a driving force behind Arizona's eye-raising success this season. Walker is batting .281 this season, picking up a hit in his last 11 games, and has at least one RBI in three-straight games. DimersBOT gives Walker a 57% chance to make it four in a row tonight, with a 14% edge in the odds.
2. Shohei Ohtani (LAA) To Record an RBI
Frequency: 9 of last 12 games
Odds: +170
Just like we said, you simply can not fade Shohei Ohtani. Despite his 0-6 record against White Sox starter Michael Kopech last night, Ohtani delivered in spectacular fashion with a pair of home runs. He's got an RBI in five-straight games and his odds are as low as +130 on FanDuel, showing you the value we're still getting here. Until Shohei stops raking or his odds plummet, he's not leaving this column.
3. Ezequiel Duran (TEX) To Get a Hit
Frequency: 8 of last 10 games
Odds: -210
Time for a parlay piece that realistically should be even longer odds. Not only has Duran picked up a hit in 8 of his last 10 games, he's got two knocks in all but one of those eight. His season average is up to .319 and he's effectively been automatic in June.
4. Brandon Nimmo (NYM) To Record an RBI
Frequency: 8 of last 13 games
Odds: +195
Not much is going right for the Mets, and pending Steve Cohen's planned press conference today, there could be some big changes coming. One guy who's managed to deliver time and time again for the Queens Crew is outfielder Brandon Nimmo. After a five-game stretch to start the month where he failed to record any, he's been racking up RBIs with 17 in June as well as in four of his last five games.
5. Alex Verdugo (BOS) To Record a Hit
Frequency: 13 of last 13 games
Odds: -275
We're going with another parlay piece for a guy who is absolutely on fire. Alex Verdugo has recorded at least one knock in 13 straight games. His odds are juiced and reasonably so, but it's hard to ignore a trend with a 100% hit rate over the last two weeks. This adds nearly +1000 odds to the final payout if you parlay these trends, taking it from +2604 out to +3587.
Remember to gamble responsibly and set limits on your betting activities. It's important to approach sports betting as a form of entertainment, rather than relying on it for financial gain.
