Top MLB Betting Trends for Tuesday, June 20

1. Austin Hays (BAL) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 12 of last 13 games
Odds: -160

To say that Austin Hays is on a hitting streak right now would be to undersell him. It's simply amazing what Hays is doing right now, notching hits in 13 of the 15 games he's played so far in June, and registering 2+ hits in his last five games straight, including three in his last game two nights ago against the Cubs. The O's were gifted a rare day off yesterday and will be as fresh as a daisy for tonight's midweek series opener against Tampa Bay. Hays is well placed to keep his scintillating form going.

2. Marcell Ozuna (ATL) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 12 of last 14 games
Odds: -200

The Braves also enjoyed some rest to begin their week, meaning that we hopefully get some fresh bats as Atlanta take on the Phillies tonight. Among a vast array of Braves players who have been in hot hitting form, Marcell Ozuna is one not to ignore with hits in 12 of his last 14 games. He's coming up against leftie Phillies starter Ranger Suarez who has allowed an average of 5.4 hits to opposing batters this season.

3. Whit Merrifield (TOR) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 10 of last 10 games
Odds: -250

Merrifield sat in Toronto's miserable 11-0 loss to the Marlins last night, so expect the hot hitter to be plugged right back into the lineup tonight as the Blue Jays look to make amends. Merrifield hasn't missed a beat recently, notching hits in each of his last 10 games. He comes up against a very strong Miami pitcher Eury Perez, but given the slugger's form, he's absolutely one to consider as part of your Tuesday parlays.

4. Shohei Ohtani (LAA) To Record an RBI

Frequency: 7 of last 10 games
Odds: +220

Who doesn't love a good Shohei Ohtani plus money trend? The man from Japan has been his usual spectacular self, buoyed by the hot form of his teammates and their ability to get on base, plus his penchant for hitting balls out of parks. He's driven in runs in seven of his last 10 games and will no doubt be looking to put on a show as the Angels take on their cross-city rivals in the Dodgers. He will need to overcome an awful career record against starting LAD pitcher Clayton Kershaw, but if he can navigate through that, he'll get some chances against the Dodgers bullpen which ranks in the bottom five of the MLB for ERA this season.

5. Nick Pratto (KC) To Record a Hit

Frequency: 13 of last 16 games
Odds: -140

Pratto has been a reliable hitter in this Royals lineup, getting on base yet again last night against the Tigers, extending his hot June run. Kansas City will have some work to do to avenge last night's loss in Detroit, but Pratto should be able to help, having previously had some luck against starting Tigers pitcher Michael Lorenzen, getting a hit off of him in their one and only career meeting on May 22.

Remember to gamble responsibly and set limits on your betting activities. It's important to approach sports betting as a form of entertainment, rather than relying on it for financial gain. Set a budget for yourself and stick to it, and never bet more than you can afford to lose.
