According to NFL Insider Ian Rappoport, the New York Jets are in the process of finalizing a trade for wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders, reuniting the superstar with his former QB Aaron Rodgers ahead of the NFL Trade Deadline on November 5th.

The news broke on Tuesday morning less than 12 hours after a demoralizing Jets loss to AFC East rival, the Buffalo Bills on Monday Night Football.

The trade signals the end of weeks-long speculation around where Davante Adams may land after the star wide receiver made his desire to leave Las Vegas public.

As reported by Dimers last Tuesday, October 8th, Adams sent the NFL world ablaze with a cryptic social media post that had many believing he would be headed to the Baltimore Ravens.

However, that appears to be no more than the rumor mill at work as the Adams to Jets trade is official.

What Did the Jets Trade for Davante Adams?

The reported compensation for the trade will be a conditional 3rd-round pick sent from the Jets to the Raiders, that could end up as a second-round pick based on performance factors yet to be determined.

Jets Updated Super Bowl Odds and Chances

The New York Jets are now +3000 to win Super Bowl LIX, currently at BetMGM Sportsbook, down from +3500 before the trade.

Prior to the Jet's MNF loss, our model gave them a 21.2% probability win the AFC East, identifying fair odds of +370 to win their division over the far more favored Bills at 65.2% from our model.

Adams' theoretical arrival already didn't do much for our model, raising their AFC East win probability by just 0.7% to 21.9% with the star WR, and a 1.9% Super Bowl probability.

Following the loss, we dropped them down to just 11.2% to win the AFC East and 3.4% to win the AFC, and 1.3% to win the Super Bowl. It remains to be seen how much Adams will impact the team's prospects now that they're 2-4 we'll have updated results for the team to reflect Adams' arrival after our simulations run.
