Chargers vs. Browns Odds and Betting Lines

The Points Spread (Browns +3)

The Chargers bounced back from an embarrassing blowout loss to the Jaguars with a 10-point win over the Texans last week, but even that wasn't as easy as the final score shows. Los Angeles held a 27-7 lead at halftime and ended up barely clinging to a three-point lead late in the fourth quarter, with Houston driving to tie or take the lead. The Chargers found a way to win, but with Keenan Allen's health in question and Joey Bosa set to miss extended time, this is not the team that many projected as a contender preseason.

The Browns aren't world beaters by any means either. Cleveland sits at 2-2 without yet facing a team with a winning record. Browns opponents are just 4-8 combined on the year. With Jacoby Brissett manning the quarterback position, the Browns have had to force feed their vaunted rushing attack more than ever before. Leading rusher Nick Chubb already has three 100+ yard games on the ground, and has tallied five touchdowns in the last three weeks.

With Bosa out, the Chargers looked a bit flat last week against Houston. They allowed rookie running back Dameon Pierce to get loose on the ground, earning 131 yards on just 14 carries, including a 75-yard breakaway touchdown.

While we could see this one going either way, we think the Browns' rushing attack is the biggest key to this game, and against a vulnerable Chargers run defense, it's enough for us to lean Browns +3 to cover.

Over/Under Points Total (47)

The Over is 2-2 in Chargers games this season and 3-1 in Browns games. Taking a deeper look at Cleveland through four weeks leads us to believe there could be some value in the Over here. The Browns have faced four of the least potent offenses in the NFL — with Baker Mayfield, Joe Flacco, Mitch Trubisky and Marcus Mariota as opposing quarterbacks, and yet the Overs continue to hit.

While Justin Herbert's ribs were a concern last week, he still played through the concerns en route to 340 yards passing. Even if Herbert had both ribs removed an hour before kickoff, he would still be the most dangerous QB the Browns have faced this year. The DimersBOT agrees, giving the Over 47 a good chance to hit.

Best Bet: Browns +3

The Browns are playing at home in a bounce-back spot, with running lanes as far as the eye can see. We think the Browns have a great chance of covering the 3-point spread.

We strongly suggest taking this with the FanDuel risk-free bet of up to $1,000 offer mentioned at the top of this article because, even if the Browns don't cover, you'll still have plenty to work with in order to bet more games. You can claim it ➡️ here ⬅️.
