College Football Playoff National Championship Game: TCU vs. Georgia Player Props & Predictions for Monday, January 9, 2023

The College Football Playoff National Championship Game is right around the corner and we're hitting you with our predictive analytics model's favorite player props for this meeting between the TCU Horned Frogs and Georgia Bulldogs on Monday, January 9. Our artificial intelligence already has TCU vs. Georgia computer picks that will tell you exactly how we think this game will play out, but now we're taking a look at some individual player props for this winner-take-all showdown. Last year, Stetson Bennett was the MVP of Georgia's victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide, and the quarterback is back under center for this one. Our model actually likes him to have another big game, so perhaps he'll find a way to make it back-to-back MVP awards? Without further ado, here are our favorite player prop bets you can make on the big game.

TCU vs. Georgia Best Player Props Bets

Ladd McConkey, WR, Georgia - Over 40.5 Receiving Yards

McConkey has been banged up recently, but he ended up playing in the semi-final game against the Ohio State Buckeyes. The sophomore finished that one with two catches for -1 yards, but the fact that he was on the field was big. He has now had another week to get his knee right ahead of this massive game, and we like his chances of coming through with some big receptions here.

This is a game that should feature Georgia throwing quite a bit, and McConkey had 10 games this season with a reception of at least 21 yards. If he can haul in a big catch, he'll be well on his way to helping us cash. We're taking the Over on his receiving total for -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

Kenny McIntosh, RB, Georgia - Under 68.5 Rushing Yards

Georgia has the ability to run the football very efficiently, but the team doesn't just feed McIntosh. There are other guys in this backfield that the Bulldogs like to get the ball to, which is why McIntosh is not a lock to turn in a big performance in the national championship.

The senior did rush for 70 yards against Ohio State last week, but we're expecting a little more push from the TCU defensive line than we saw from the Buckeyes. And overall, our model likes this to be a pass-heavy game for the Bulldogs, so we're taking the Under on McIntosh's rushing total for +100 at DraftKings Sportsbook

Georgia tight end Brock Bowers is one of the best players in all of college football.

Brock Bowers, TE, Georgia - Over 60.5 Receiving Yards

It's a little surprising to see Bowers with such a low receiving yard total next to his name. The sophomore has been Bennett's favorite target in key moments and there will be a lot of those in a national championship game.

Bowers had four catches for 64 yards in Georgia's win over Ohio State, and that seems like the floor for what he'll achieve in the biggest game of the season. Bowers is old reliable for this Bulldogs offense and our predictive analytics love him to go Over his receiving yard total for -115 at FanDuel Sportsbook

Stetson Bennett, QB, Georgia - Over 272.5 Passing Yards

Bennett might not be a quarterback that you think of as a gunslinger, but he operates an offense that can occasionally lean pass-heavy and Georgia trusts him to execute. It wasn't all pretty in the game against Ohio State last weekend, but he threw for 398 yards with three touchdowns and one pick, while also rushing for a score in that one. He might not put up those exact numbers here, but this is a game that has the potential to turn into a shootout.

TCU is going to come out firing with Max Duggan in this game, and Bennett will be relied on to answer when his offense is on the field. For that reason, we're playing the Over on his passing yards for -115 at FanDuel Sportsbook.

Taye Barber, WR, TCU - Under 36.5 Receiving Yards

Barber was held to just two catches for 12 yards against the Michigan Wolverines, but he did score a touchdown in that game. However, Barber has now been held below this game's 38.5-yard total in three of his last four games. And he's now facing an elite defense, which might make it hard for him to find space.

It just wouldn't be surprising if this were another game in which Duggan zeroed in on star wideout Quentin Johnston. Duggan knows he can trust Johnston, even against an elite defense. Our model is very high on this Under landing, so we're backing it for -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook.

TCU vs. Georgia First & Anytime TD Scorers

Jared Wiley, TE, TCU

If you're looking for a dart throw in this game, then why not bet Wiley to score a touchdown at +600 any point in the game, or +5500 to score the first touchdown of the game at FanDuel Sportsbook? Wiley had four touchdowns this year and he is now facing a Georgia defense that will definitely be sending extra help in Johnston's direction. That could open up an opportunity for a tight end to sneak into space for a touchdown down by the red zone, and the value here is just hard to pass up!
