Tulane lost to UCF in what was being called one of the biggest games in program history, so the Green Wave are definitely going to be a bit let down. However, Fritz has always done a good job of getting his team prepared after tough losses, as the Green Wave are 6-3 against the spread when coming off losses in which they were favored since he took over. Tulane is also 33-10 straight-up and 29-14 ATS when playing as favorites under Fritz, so it's not exactly likely that the Green Wave will slip up twice.

The Mustangs also happen to be just 1-3 both SU and ATS in games with lines between +3 and -3 under head coach Rhett Lashlee. And while SMU is known for having an explosive offense, Tulane will feel like it can go toe to toe with its opponent here. And the Green Wave are a lot more reliable on the defensive side of the ball. Tulane is first in the conference in scoring defense and will be hoping to bounce back from a poor defensive performance against UCF.
