Clemson vs. Florida State Analysis

Why Clemson Will Cover The Spread

Clemson is one of the most complete teams in college football. The main concern heading into the season was quarterback play. The Tigers have improved significantly at that position. D.J. Uiagalelei looks much better this season, as he’s thrown for 14 touchdowns and two interceptions.

Along with the improved offense, Clemson has one of the best defenses in the nation. The Tigers will have an advantage at the line of scrimmage. Also, defensive tackle Bryan Bresee is expected to play. If the Clemson defense can put pressure on an already beat up Florida State quarterback Jordan Travis, it could be a long game for the Seminoles.

The Tigers are the better team and not many coaches know how to win in tough environments like Dabo Swinney does.

Why Florida State Will Cover The Spread

Doak Campbell Stadium will be absolutely electric. It’s a night game which only adds on to the noise. It’s always tough to play on the road in college football and it is definitely a possibility that Clemson could trip up here.

Florida State is an improved football team this season. Travis has played like a top ACC quarterback. The Seminoles have a balanced offensive attack as well, which could keep the Clemson defense on its heels.

The spread (Clemson -3.5) indicates that this game might come down to the wire. Florida State has lost two straight games, and this is the Noles' toughest remaining game. Clemson is tough to bet against, but Florida State does have a shot here.

Why The Over Will Hit

Both teams will be able to move the football in this game. Don’t expect a track meet, but don’t expect a defensive slugfest either. Clemson and Florida State have balanced enough offenses to keep the opposing defenses guessing. The key here is turnovers.

The DimersBOT clearly thinks this total is far too low for these two teams, as it has a strong preference to back the Over.

Why The Under Will Hit

If the Under hits here, the defenses would have to force a lot of turnovers. Against Boston College, Clemson’s offense started out slow. The Tigers didn’t score a touchdown until the final minute of the first half. That same thing needs to happen for the Under to hit here.

Clemson getting off to a slow start is a possibility given the tough environment at Doak Campbell Stadium.

Clemson vs. Florida State Prediction

Lean: Clemson -3.5

While we think this game could go down to the wire, Clemson is better at nearly every position on the football field. It also doesn’t help that Florida State is a little banged up. Give us Clemson minus the points.

We strongly suggest taking this with the DraftKings bet $5 to get $200 offer mentioned at the top of this article because, even if the Tigers don't cover, new customers still get $200 just for joining and placing a successful $5 moneyline bet on the gameYou can claim it ➡️ here ⬅️.
