After having no college football bowl games on Sunday and only one on Monday, we get back to having multiple games for our Tuesday, December 20 best bets. These might not feature huge names or anything, but we're expecting some excitement when Eastern Michigan faces San Jose State in the Famous Idaho Potato Bowl and the Liberty Flames take on the Toledo Rockets in the RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl. These picks were very profitable for us during the regular season and we're confident we can continue providing winners the rest of the way.

College Football Best Bets For The Tuesday, December 20 Bowl Games

Famous Idaho Potato Bowl: Eastern Michigan Eagles vs. San Jose State Spartans - 3:30PM ET

San Jose State really limped into bowl season, as the Spartans went 3-3 straight-up and 0-6 against the spread in their final six games of the year. Still, the numbers suggest San Jose State is in decent shape in this matchup with Eastern Michigan. Offensively, the Eagles average 1.3 more points per game than the Spartans, but San Jose State gives up 8.5 fewer points per game on defense. And the Spartans defense is really what we love about this matchup.

Eastern Michigan is also 0-4 in bowl games under head coach Chris Creighton, and that isn't exactly inspiring heading into this one. A lot of that comes down to preparation and it just makes the Eagles hard to trust in this spot. Meanwhile, San Jose State is 16-9-1 against the spread when playing teams with winning records under head coach Brent Brennan, so these games bring the best out of the Spartans.

We also just like San Jose State quarterback Chevan Cordeiro's ability to make plays with both his arm and his leg in this spot. He is having a fantastic season for the Spartans and should be hard for the Eagles to get off the field here.

BET: San Jose State -3.5 at -110 at DraftKings Sportsbook

RoofClaim.com Boca Raton Bowl: Liberty Flames vs. Toledo Rockets - 7:30PM ET

Bowl season can be extremely funky for a lot of reasons, but lack of stability is the main one and we see a lot of that on the Liberty end here. For starters, the Flames lost head coach Hugh Freeze to Auburn in the offseason, and he is responsible for a lot of the team's success — if not all of it. Liberty also has a pretty messy situation at quarterback, and that makes it pretty easy to back Toledo here. The Rockets might not be spectacular, but they would view a nine-win season as a massive success. And they don't have any off-field storylines holding them back right now.

Toledo is also coming off losses in two of its last three games heading into this one. That might seem awful — and it undoubtedly is — but the Rockets tend to respond to these types of stretches. They are 8-1 ATS after having lost two of their last three games over the last three seasons, and they have won those games by an average of 18.3 points per game. Also, Dequan Finn is the most trustworthy quarterback on either of these rosters. And having the best quarterback in a game is important in bowl season.

BET: Toledo -3 at -155 at DraftKings Sportsbook
