College Football Best Bets: Picks & Analysis For Middle Tennessee State vs. San Diego State In The EasyPost Hawaii Bowl On Saturday, December 24

On Saturday, December 24, an eight-win season will be on the line when the Middle Tennessee Blue Raiders and San Diego State Aztecs clash in the EasyPost Hawaii Bowl. Both of these teams were 7-5 during the regular season, but it was Middle Tennessee that won three in a row heading into bowl season. It'll be interesting to see whether or not the Blue Raiders momentum is still there after a few weeks off. Our college football picks were very profitable for us during the regular season and we're confident we can continue providing winners the rest of the way.

If you haven't already, you should consider signing up for DraftKings ➡️ here ⬅️ as you can turn a $5 pre-game moneyline bet on any game into a free $150 if your team wins.

College Football Best Bet For The Saturday, December 24 Bowl Game

EasyPost Hawaii Bowl: Middle Tennessee State Blue Raiders vs. San Diego State Aztecs - 8:00PM ET

The Over hit in the final two games that the Blue Raiders played this season, with them averaging 41.0 points per game in those two contests. Now, Middle Tennessee is playing in a game with a total that isn't much higher than that number.

Of course, the Blue Raiders aren't guaranteed to find the same level of success against a good Aztecs defense that they did in meetings with Florida Atlantic and Florida International. But we do like Middle Tennessee to do a decent job of helping Over bettors, with quarterback Chase Cunningham having the potential to make some big plays in this game. And San Diego State can also help Over bettors quite a bit.

The Aztecs actually scored 28 or more points in three of their final five regular-season games. San Diego State could have a hard time running the football against a tough Middle Tennessee defensive front, but Jalen Mayden had some decent games as a passer this year. In fact, before throwing for no touchdowns and two picks against Air Force in the final game of the season, Mayden had thrown for at least two scores in four games in a row. He is also a threat to use his legs, which makes it hard to believe the Blue Raiders will be able to completely slow down the Aztecs offensively.

The Over also happens to be 7-2 in all bowl games that Rick Stockstill has coached for the team. This just isn't a high bar to clear and it should hit pretty easily.
