Oregon vs. Georgia Best Bets, Predictions and Analysis
Spread Breakdown
Georgia lost some key pieces from last year's team, but quarterback Stetson Bennett has proven to be a steady hand and should have this Bulldogs offense clicking from Day 1. Georgia brought back three of its five starters from last year's offensive line, which means that the Bulldogs will once again have a potent running game — that rushing attack will be spearheaded by a deep group that includes of Kenny McIntosh, Kendall Milton, Daijun Edwards and incoming five-star recruit Branson Robinson.
With Lanning having not had much time to put his culture in place in Oregon, it wouldn't be surprising if Georgia really manhandles its opponent in the trenches here. The Bulldogs should have a lot of success on the ground, which will make it pretty difficult for the Ducks to stop Bennett and Co. from putting up a pretty decent amount of points in this one.
MORE: CFB Futures Probabilities
Oregon should be able to find some success on offense early in this game, as Georgia only returns three starters on defense. That, however, is something that isn't going to last very long, as the Bulldogs are loaded with young NFL-caliber talent on that side of the ball. They'll just need some time to gel a little, and they should be in top gear later in this contest.
Overall, we expect Georgia to pull away late in this game, when the Bulldogs will begin to just churn out chunk yardage on the ground. It wouldn't be too surprising if they put this baby to bed by the start of the fourth quarter, and we ultimately do see Smart's team covering the hefty 17-point spread.
For what it's worth, Georgia is 17-3 straight-up and 13-6-1 ATS as a favorite of 10.5 to 21 points under Smart. The team is also 11-3 SU and 10-4 ATS as a neutral-field favorite since he took over.
Over/Under Breakdown
Our model, DimersBOT, gives this game a 54% chance of going Over the total, and it's hard to come up with many reasons why this won't exceed the number. As previously mentioned, this Georgia offense should be able to run all over Oregon in this game, which will completely open up the playbook for offensive coordinator Todd Monkey to attack the Ducks over the top when they send extra men into the box.

Considering we also see Oregon scoring a bit in the early portion of this game, it just feels like the total on this one is way too low. This game has 42-21 written all over it.
Best Bet: Ducks vs. Bulldogs
This game might feature two teams that want to play low-scoring games, but the number is just two low when you consider how many playmakers will be on the field. We're taking the Over 52.5 and we're using the DraftKings bet $5 to get $200 offer mentioned at the top of this article because, even if the Over doesn't hit, new customers still get $200 just for joining and betting $5 on the total.
