Georgia vs. South Carolina Best Bets, Predictions and Analysis
Spread Breakdown
Georgia has arguably been the most impressive team in the country up to this point. Kirby Smart’s team destroyed former Bulldogs defensive coordinator Dan Lanning and his Oregon Ducks in Atlanta. Then, Georgia took care of business against Samford. The defense looks like it hasn’t slowed down despite losing five first-round NFL Draft picks on that side of the ball. The offense looks improved, with quarterback Stetson Bennett completing passes at a 74.2-percent mark.
South Carolina has a bright future under second year head coach Shane Beamer. However, the Gamecocks still have some glaring issues that won’t be fixed overnight. Those issues were brought to the forefront against Arkansas last week.
The South Carolina offensive line has allowed the fourth-most sacks in FBS with nine. As a result, the run game has yet to get going. South Carolina has 119 rushing yards in two games this season. Being able to win in multiple ways is important with the grueling SEC schedule that South Carolina has ahead, and the Gamecocks have not been able to do that this season — although it is a small sample size.

This game is a total mismatch for South Carolina in the trenches. Georgia’s defensive line, led by Jalen Carter, will have a field day against the Gamecocks offensive line. South Carolina will need to establish the passing game in order to get the run game working. Quarterback Spencer Rattler needs to have a big game for the Gamecocks. But it’s going to be hard against this Bulldogs secondary.
The spread in this game currently favors Georgia by more than three touchdowns. It will be a tough environment for the Bulldogs, with Williams-Brice Stadium being one of the loudest venues in the country. However, Georgia has experienced plenty of tough environments before. The DimersBOT doesn't have a strong lean either way, but we like Georgia to cover because of its advantage in the trenches and on the perimeter.

Over/Under Breakdown
Georgia will likely be able to put up some points against South Carolina. The Gamecocks defense was exposed against the run this past week. The team gave up 295 yards on the ground with an average of 4.5 yards per carry. Georgia will be able to replicate those numbers pretty easily.

South Carolina put up 416 total yards against Arkansas, but only 40 of them were on the ground. It’s a miracle that the Gamecocks were able to put up 30 points when they couldn't do anything in the running game. That outcome is not sustainable against Georgia.
The point total for this game is at 52. The DimersBOT slightly leans towards the Under and we agree. It is going to be hard for South Carolina to put up a decent amount of points against one of the best defenses in the nation. The Bulldogs will be able to score, but they could struggle early on because of the environment. Plus, Georgia will likely rely on the run game more in this game due to South Carolina’s vulnerability defending the run. That means Georgia will chew the clock down and control the game.
Best Bet: Bulldogs vs. Gamecocks
We like the Under 52 as the best bet for this game. South Carolina won’t be able to move the ball a whole lot against a really good Georgia front seven. Meanwhile, the Bulldogs will control the game by running the football, which will chew the clock and minimize the time of possession for a pass-heavy South Carolina offense that will be working from behind for most of this game.
We strongly suggest taking this with the DraftKings bet $5 to get $200 offer mentioned at the top of this article because, even if the Under doesn't hit, new customers still get $200 just for joining and betting at least $5 on the game. You can claim it ➡️ here ⬅️.
