Xavier Musketeers vs. UConn Huskies - 6:30PM ET

A game with major implications for the Big East championship will be settled tonight, as UConn tries to avenge a 10-point loss to Xavier from earlier in the season. If UConn wants any shot of winning this conference title, they have to win this game to gain ground on the first place Musketeers. That will be easier said than done as Xavier has not lost by more than seven points all season.

UConn isn't playing their best basketball, as the Huskies have lost five of the last seven. After jumping out to an incredible start in non-conference play, the Huskies have fallen back to earth, and look much more like what we expected them to be in the offseason. Xavier's backcourt could be the difference here as Souley Boum and Colby Jones will be the best two guards in this game.

Maryland Terrapins vs. Wisconsin Badgers - 7:00PM ET

After a great start and a horrible December, Maryland seems to have found its form once again. Kevin Willard's Terps are undefeated at home through three games in Big Ten play with wins over Illinois, Ohio State and Michigan. Maryland is capable of hanging tough with anyone, and at home we have to trust them until proven otherwise.

Any advanced analytics model you can find does not like Wisconsin. The Badgers have the 111th-rated offense in the country. They have lost three straight Big Ten road games and are coming off a very flat performance on the road at Northwestern. The home team in better form is the play here.

Providence Friars vs. Butler Bulldogs - 8:30PM ET

Ed Cooley's Friars are a stunning 11-0 at home, and in eight of those 11 games they have covered 9.5 points. The mystique of "Providence at home" that made many national analysts call Providence "the luckiest team in the country" last season doesn't seem to have worn off just yet. Providence is a tough out, and belongs in the race in the Big East.

Butler on the other hand, is limping to the finish line. The Bulldogs have ten losses on the season already, and their last nine losses have all come by double digits. In those losses, they are averaging a margin of defeat of 21.8 points per loss. When Butler loses, they lose BIG. In such a tough road environment, we expect more of the same here.
