Penn State Nittany Lions vs. Rutgers Scarlet Knights - 6:30PM ET

The Big Ten is a jumbled mess of mediocre basketball teams...and Purdue! But for bettors, this mess has turned into a helpful guide of predicting upsets and/or covers based on teams inching closer back to .500. With Rutgers sitting a 5-3 and Penn State sitting at 4-4, it would only be right if the Nittany Lions make this a game. And it helps that they have the best player on the floor - Jalen Pickett.

Penn State has played four true road games this season and all four were decided by ten points or less. Rutgers gives up a ton of three-point attempts, which plays right into the Nittany Lions' hands. While the RAC is a hard place for visiting teams to play, Rutgers has already lost to both Seton Hall and Iowa this year at home. 6.5 points feels like too many.

Illinois Fighting Illini vs. Ohio State Buckeyes - 7:00PM ET

Illinois has been so unpredictable this season, it's hard to point at any one thing and feel confident it will happen for the Illini in any given game. However, despite this unpredictability, one thing remains true: Illinois has not lost back to back games this season. Every game after a loss, the Illini have won by seven points or more.

Ohio State has been reeling, going just 1-4 in true road games this season including losses at Maryland and Nebraska. On the year, the Buckeyes are just 1-5 in games against top 31 teams in the country, and the one win was a game against Rutgers where the Big Ten released a statement that they made an incorrect call and Rutgers should have won the game. We like the Illini here.

Kansas State Wildcats vs. Iowa State Cyclones - 9:00PM ET

Iowa State is 4-0 at home this season in the Big 12, and have won every game by double digits. However - they had Caleb Grill in all those games, and he averaged 16 PPG in those wins. Grill is "questionable" for this game, but even if he plays, we expect him to be far from 100% based on reports from around the program.

Kansas State is the hottest team in the country, and has already gone on the road to win at Texas and Baylor. They have the most dynamic duo in college basketball - Markquis Nowell and Keyontae Johnson, who combined for 118 points in those two games by themselves. This line feels off, especially given Grill's status being up in the air.
