North Carolina Central Eagles vs. LSU Tigers - 7:00PM ET

LSU's great record hides the fact that the haven't been able to create separation against inferior teams for the better part of the last month. All four of their last four games have been decided by four points or less, including unimpressive wins against UT Arlington and Wofford. Going back to the beginning of the year, LSU failed to cover 14.5 points against cupcakes like UMKC and Arkansas State.

On the other side, North Carolina Central has played better teams than LSU close(ish), losing by 12 points to both Virginia and Marquette. The Eagles are the 4th best team in the country when it comes to three point percentage, possessing seven players who shoot 34% or higher, led by Justin Wright and Kris Monroe who shoot 49% and 40% respectively on nine combined attempts per game. Making shots can keep you in a game, and we expect that to be true tonight.

Florida State Seminoles vs. USC Upstate Spartans - 8:30PM ET

Much like LSU's good record isn't indicative of their true quality of play, Florida State's poor record hides the fact that they seem to have turned a corner in the last two weeks. The Seminoles played a close game against the current #1 team in the nation, Purdue, with the game tied with just a few minutes to play, and followed up that effort with a five point loss against a great Virginia team, and finally an 18-point win over Louisville.

USC Upstate is the first cupcake team Florida State has played all season, sitting 59 sports worse on Kenpom than the Louisville team Florida State just blew out. The Spartans are the 346th ranked defense in the country, and they lost to Air Force by 27 points just a few weeks ago. We don't expect them to keep this one close against a Florida State team that would love to take their frustrations out tonight.

Memphis Tigers vs. Alabama Crimson Tide - 9:00PM ET

The game of the evening features Penny Hardaway's Memphis Tigers taking on Nate Oats' Alabama Crimson Tide. Memphis has gone under the radar this season - which is a new development under Hardaway, but that seems to be a good thing. Memphis has lost just two games this season, and the losses came by a combined seven points. They just defeated Auburn by nine points on a neutral floor and have the stuff to hang with anyone.

Most importantly, this is a massive let down spot for Bama, who is fresh off an impressive win at Houston. The Crimson Tide trailed for much of that game, but escaped with a win after Houston shot just 3-13 from three point range, and 12 for 22 from the free throw line. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than good, but they'll need to be good tonight to cover against a hungry Memphis squad in need of a marquee win.
