College Basketball Best Bets for Friday, December 30

Miami Hurricanes vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish - 2:00PM ET

Miami has been one of the hottest teams in the country. The Hurricanes have won eight straight games, four of the victories coming against top 60 opponents. Isaiah Wong and Nigel Pack form one of the most potent duos in the sport, and they have combined to fuel the 11th best offense in the country through this point in the season.

That's a problematic matchup for a defense as indifferent as Notre Dame's. The Fighting Irish are floundering, losing five of their last eight games including home losses to Marquette and Syracuse. This is the 203rd ranked defense in the sport, and we just can't see them stopping Wong and the Hurricanes' offense.

BET: Miami -3 (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook

Buffalo Bulls vs. Michigan State Spartans - 6:00PM ET

Michigan State expects to get Malik Hall back, which is a critical re-addition for a team as low on depth as the Spartans. But even with Hall earlier this year, the Spartans' weren't world-beaters. Their overtime win against Kentucky and a two-point win at home against Villanova look much less impressive than they did a month ago, and Michigan State has not recorded a 20-point victory on the season, even against cupcakes.

Buffalo is no cupcake either - they have three wins this season against top 200 opponents, with victories against Colgate, George Mason and Saint Bonaventure.  They went on the road to UConn and West Virginia and lost by 20 and 18 respectively, but both those teams are far better than Michigan State right now. 15.5 feels like too many points.

BET: Buffalo +15.5 (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook

USC Trojans vs. Washington Huskies - 10:00PM ET

USC has quietly been very good this year. The Trojans have won six straight games and sit at 10-3 on the season. Even their losses have been impressive, as they took Tennessee to overtime in Atlantis over Thanksgiving and looked capable of playing with anyone.

Washington's form as of late has been disgusting, suffering blowout losses to Auburn and Gonzaga. Sandwiched in between those games was a six-point victory against Cal Poly at home that easily could have been a horrible loss. Both these teams played Auburn in the last ten days - USC won and Washington lost by 23 points. We'll side with the better team here.

BET: USC -1.5 (-110) at DraftKings Sportsbook
