Broncos vs. Raiders Computer Picks, NFL Odds and Betting Lines for Sunday, October 2

The Denver Broncos have a chance to move to 3-1 when they face a winless Las Vegas Raiders team in Sin City at 4:25PM ET on Sunday, October 2. Things haven't looked great for Denver thus far, but the team has to be happy with its record right now. Nathaniel Hackett's group will now look to clean things up and beat a Las Vegas team that is lacking in confidence at the moment.

Find out how we think this one will play out in our Broncos vs. Raiders betting preview below.

Broncos vs. Raiders Odds and Betting Lines

The Points Spread (Raiders -2.5)

The Raiders haven't won a game this season and they now host a Broncos team that is 2-1. That probably makes it seem like Denver is the play, but the records don't tell the whole story. This Broncos team has looked absolutely miserable this season, yet the group has somehow found a way to escape a trio of close games with two wins. But saying Denver is a much better team than Las Vegas would be a huge exaggeration.

The reality is that the Raiders are likely going to figure things out pretty soon, and the team held the classic "players only meeting" after losing to the Tennessee Titans last week. Now, we expect a more locked-in version of Las Vegas, which matches up pretty well with Denver to begin with.

While the Broncos have one of the best secondaries in football, the Raiders have wideouts that are simply unguardable. Davante Adams is going to have no trouble creating separation for himself in this one, and Derek Carr should do a better job of laying it on him. Adams hasn't been as involved as he should be since Week 1 and you better believe that was addressed in the meeting with these Vegas players. And if the Broncos send help in Adams' direction, look for Darren Waller, Hunter Renfrow (who is questionable with a concussion) and Mack Hollins to make them pay. Hollins has been a pleasant surprise to start the year.

Overall, we just like the Raiders to get things going offensively in this one, and we don't exactly think the Broncos have the ability to keep up with them. Russell Wilson and this Denver offense haven't looked right since the start of the year, and having to deal with Maxx Crosby and Chandler Jones isn't going to make that much better.

Denver also happens to be 1-5 against the spread in its last six games against AFC opponents. We expect that record to get a bit worse on Sunday.

Over/Under Points Total (45.5)

The Under is 5-1 in the last six road games that Denver has played and it's also 5-15 in the last 20 games that the Broncos have played. On top of that, the Under is 4-1 in the last five home games that the Raiders have played, and it's also 9-2 in the last 11 meetings between these teams. The trends strongly suggest that this game will a bit lower scoring than expected. The on-field stuff also backs it up.

This Broncos team just hasn't looked great on the offensive side of the ball, making it questionable that the group will find a way to make Under bettors pay. With that in mind, it'd take a huge offensive performance from Las Vegas for the Over to hit. And while we do think the Raiders will play a bit better on that side of the ball this week, that doesn't mean they'll completely light it up. We're going with the Under here.

Broncos vs. Raiders Free Picks

Raiders -2.5

The Raiders badly need a victory and they'll have a fired-up crowd at Allegiant Stadium to help them get it. They also happen to be playing a team that is due for a loss, so we're keeping it simple and rolling with Las Vegas. It shouldn't surprise anybody if Carr and Co. get it done here.

We strongly suggest taking this with the FanDuel risk-free bet of up to $1,000 offer mentioned at the top of this article because, even if the Raiders don't cover, you'll still have plenty to work with in order to bet more games. You can claim it ➡️ here ⬅️.

If you already use FanDuel, then you absolutely have to claim BetMGM's Bet $10, Get $200 for a touchdown offer ➡️ here ⬅️.
