In For Six: Breaking Down The Six Biggest College Football Games of Week 10

1. Tennessee Volunteers vs. Georgia Bulldogs - 3:30PM ET

It will be a battle of the undefeated teams in Athens on Saturday afternoon. This game has the chance to be a Game of the Year candidate. Tennessee and Georgia are arguably the two best teams in the country.

Tennessee leads the nation in total offense. That shouldn’t shock anybody. Not as many people know that Georgia is second in the nation in total offense. The key in this game is the Tennessee run game. If the Volunteers can get yards on the ground, they can win this game. If Georgia can stop the run, the Bulldogs will have the advantage.

LEAN: Tennessee +8.5 - Sanford Stadium will be absolutely rocking on Saturday afternoon. This will be the toughest environment that Tennessee has played in all year. However, Tennessee is too good not to keep this within one score. We like Georgia to win the game but give us Tennessee plus the points.

2. Alabama Crimson Tide vs. LSU Tigers - 7:00PM ET

To the dismay of many, LSU was ranked in the Top 10 of the first College Football Playoff rankings. Year one under Brian Kelly has been a success, but there is no better measuring stick than playing Nick Saban and Alabama.

LSU quarterback Jayden Daniels has started to push the ball downfield more in the past few weeks. Alabama’s pass rush needs to put pressure on Daniels and force him to make mistakes.

LEAN: Over 56.5 - We aren’t confident in picking against the spread. Alabama typically disappoints on the road in tough environments; however, the Crimson Tide are better in pretty much every statistical category. We think this will be a high-scoring game. Give us the Over here.

3. Texas Longhorns vs. Kansas State Wildcats - 7:00PM ET

This is a matchup between two Top 25 teams in the first playoff rankings. It is also a matchup of two teams who are contending for a Big 12 Championship.

This could be a letdown spot for Kansas State considering the Wildcats throttled Oklahoma State 48-0 last week. However, Chris Kleiman knows how to win, and he knows how to maintain a winning culture. Texas has struggled against good defenses this season. The Longhorns only put up 24 points against Iowa State and 19 points against Alabama. Both of those teams rank in the Top 15 in FBS in total defense.

LEAN: Kansas State +2.5 - Texas is favored in this game because of the talent advantage. Plus, Texas is coming off of a bye week. Kansas State is at home and the environment will be tough for Texas. The DimersBOT gives Kansas State a 50% chance to win this game outright, so we will take the points with Kansas State.

4. Clemson Tigers vs. Notre Dame Fighting Irish - 7:30PM ET

This is one of the more underrated games of the week in college football. A lot of people dismissed Notre Dame after its opening two losses to Ohio State and Marshall, but the Fighting Irish have rattled off five wins in their last six games. That includes wins against ranked Syracuse and ranked North Carolina.

Both defenses are really good. This game might come down to the run, which is the strength of both offenses. The turnover battle will also be huge in this game. Whichever team makes less mistakes to set up the other team with great field position will have a big advantage.

LEAN: Notre Dame +3.5 - This will be a low-scoring game that can change with the bounce of a ball. The DimersBOT really likes Notre Dame to keep this within three points, and we do too. Consider sprinkling some on the money line as well. A win here for Notre Dame could resurrect Marcus Freeman’s first year.

5. Florida State Seminoles vs. Miami Hurricanes - 7:30PM ET

Florida State and Miami contest one of the best rivalries in the ACC. While both teams aren’t contending for a playoff spot, this is still a big game for Mike Norvell and Mario Cristobal.

Miami is having a disappointing season relative to preseason expectations. The Hurricanes have won two of their last three games. A strong finish would give them momentum heading into year two of the Cristobal era. Florida State snapped its three-game losing streak in emphatic fashion last week. The question in this game is if Miami’s offense can put up points.

LEAN: Florida State -7.5 - Miami hasn’t put up more than 24 points against a Power Five opponent this season. Hard Rock Stadium isn’t the toughest environment in the ACC either, so we like Florida State minus the points here.

6. Wake Forest Demon Deacons vs. NC State Wolfpack - 8:00PM ET

Wake Forest and NC State battle in Raleigh. This is the fourth ranked game on the slate this Saturday.

NC State is a completely different team without Devin Leary at quarterback. However, the Wolfpack’s last game, against Virginia Tech, did instill hope for the future. Freshman MJ Morris threw for 265 yards and three touchdowns against a solid Hokies defense. He will need to have another big game on Saturday.

LEAN: NC State +4.5 - Wake Forest has an explosive and unconventional offense, but we expect NC State’s defense to hold their own and give Morris a shot at winning this game outright for the Wolfpack. We will take NC State plus the points and consider placing a moneyline bet.
