Betting Guide for Game 6 of Heat vs. Celtics in the 2022 NBA Eastern Conference Finals

Golden State awaits the Eastern Conference representative in the NBA Finals, and the Warriors may not have to wait long considering how Boston has dominated Miami in each of the last two games to take a 3-2 series lead into Game 6 at TD Garden.

The Heat are mired in an offensive funk, scoring 82 in Game 4 followed by 80 in Game 5 when you didn’t think it could get any worse.

It’s win or go home for Miami, which is banged up big time with Tyler Herro (groin), Kyle Lowry (hamstring), and Gabe Vincent (hamstring) all listed as questionable. Max Strus (hamstring) and P.J. Tucker (knee) are expected to play.

Dimers.com contributor Tony Bellissimo breaks down the matchup.

Game 6: Miami Heat at Boston Celtics

Eastern Conference Finals

Friday, May 27 2022, 8:30PM ET

Why the favorite Celtics will cover the spread

The Boston Celtics became the first team to win back-to-back games in this series with a methodical 93-80 victory in Game 5 on Wednesday night. Boston outscored Miami 32-16 in the third quarter to take control and have all the momentum.

Why the underdog Heat will cover the spread

It’s do or die for the Miami Heat and injuries aside, it’ll be all hands on deck. But it all comes down to whether Jimmy Butler can erase three subpar performances and get some help, particularly from Bam Adebayo and Herro, if healthy.

Butler is still averaging 25.6 points per game in the playoffs despite a staggering 27 combined in the last three contests.

DimersBOT Prediction: Heat to cover (55% probability)

Why Heat vs. Celtics will go Over the 201.5 total points line

Led by Jayson Tatum, who was an assist shy of a triple-double in Game 5, and Jaylen Brown, who has scored 24 or more in all but one game, the Celtics smell blood and will be fired up in front of the home crowd.

Boston has surpassed the century mark in 13 of 15 postseason games, but it’ll likely take some improvement from the Heat to get over the total.

DimersBOT Prediction: Over 201.5 points (54% probability)

Why Heat vs. Celtics will stay Under the 201.5 total points line

The biggest reason to gravitate to the under is Miami’s inability to put the ball in the basket all week.

The Heat is not healthy and out of sync. Throw in the fact NBA Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart returned for the Celtics in Game 5 after missing Game 4 and played 23 minutes, and it could be a long night for the visitors.

The X-Factor: Max Strus, Miami Guard

Strus has been the poster child for Miami’s offense the past two games. After being a major contributor in the Heat’s Game 3 victory, hitting for 16 points on 6-for-12 shooting, he’s scored 4 points — all in Game 5 — in 35 minutes since then and missed all 16 shot attempts from the field.
