Western Conference Semifinal

Why the favorite Flames will cover
The Calgary Flames only covered the spread in Game 1 of this series. The Flames have their backs against the wall and they were oh so close to stealing Game 4 on the road. Heading home should help them bounce back.

Why the underdog Oilers will cover
There is no answer for the Edmonton Oilers offensive force led by Connor McDavid, Evander Kane, Leon Draisaitl, and Zach Hyman. The Calgary Flames continue to get abused defensively and goalie Jacob Markstrom continues to struggle. Edmonton also maybe just wants it more than Calgary does.
DimersBOT Prediction: Oilers to cover +1.5 (66% probability) 🔥
Why Oilers vs. Flames will go Over 6.5 Total Goals
Three of the four games in this series have reached the over goals total mark. Connor McDavid has 19 assists this postseason, Evander Kane has scored 12 goals, Leon Draisaitl has scored seven goals this postseason, and Zach Hyman has scored a couple of goals in this series for the Edmonton Oilers.
Elias Lindholm has scored five goals this postseason for the Calgary Flames and Matthew Tkachuk scored three goals in Game 1 for Calgary. He has not scored since then. Johnny Gaudreau has only scored two goals, but has recorded 11 assists. Rasmus Andersson has scored three goals and recorded six assists.
Why Oilers vs. Flames will stay Under 6.5 Total Goals
The only game in this series that reached the under was in Game 3, when the Edmonton Oilers defeated the Calgary Flames 4-1 and facing elimination, Calgary may try to slow it down again. This could be a blowout for the Oilers if it hits the under though.
DimersBOT Prediction: Under 6.5 goals (52% probability)
The X-Factor: Zach Hyman, LW, Edmonton Oilers
Zach Hyman has scored seven goals and has scored two goals, in 11 postseason games. His plus/minus is 2. He does the dirty work for this hockey team. Hyman scored 27 goals and recorded 27 assists, in 76 regular-season games with a plus/minus rating of -9.
If he scores again in Game 5, the Edmonton Oilers will be in great shape. Zach Hyman is the kind of gritty players teams need in order to win Stanley Cup titles.
