Game 4: Calgary Flames at Edmonton Oilers
Western Conference Semifinal

Why the favorite Oilers will cover
The Edmonton Oilers (-1.5) have won the last two games over the Calgary Flames by two goals or more. Edmonton’s offense seems to be no match right now for Calgary’s defense. The Oilers are doing whatever they want with the Flames right now.
Edmonton’s Connor McDavid is the best player on the ice right now and Evander Kane and Leon Draisaitl have been extraordinary. Zach Hyman, though he’s not shown up much on the stat sheet, has been one of the Oilers’ better players in this series, too.
Why the underdog Flames will cover
Anytime a team dominates a hockey game in the previous matchup in the NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs, the opposing team usually wakes up and bounces back to win the next game. This series has had no shortage of momentum swings.
The Calgary Flames (+1.5) played a little better in the third period in Game 4 and outscored the Edmonton Oilers, 1-0, in that time span and maybe they can take something from it. Matthew Tkachuk, Elias Lindholm, and Johhny Gaudreau appear on the score sheet again like they did in Game 1 of this series.
DimersBOT Prediction: Flames to cover +1.5 (69% probability)

Why Flames vs. Oilers will go Over 6.5 Total Goals
The first two games in this series have cleared the over rather easily. Game 1 had 15 goals scored, Game 2, had eight goals scored, and Game 3 had five goals scored. Game 4 could very well reach the over because the Flames are going to find a way to score more than one goal this time around.
The Oilers are going to score because their offense can’t be slowed down right now. Good luck stopping that offense if you are the Calgary Flames.
Why Flames vs. Oilers will stay Under 6.5 Total Goals
The Oilers have been a little bit better defensively this series and the Flames have shown a real problem producing consistent offense.
DimersBOT Prediction: Under 6.5 goals (53% probability)
The X-Factor: Rasmus Andersson, Defenseman, Calgary Flames
Rasmus Andersson of the Calgary Flames is an X-factor with a capital X in Game 4. He needs to play a huge role on defense because Calgary needs somebody to slow down the Connor McDavid, Leon Drasaitl, Evander Kane parade of goals.
Andersson has played in 10 games this postseason and has scored two goals and has recorded three assists, along with a plus/minus rating of -6.
Rasmus Andersson had a goal and two assists back in Game 1 of this series and the Flames won that game 9-6. He will need to make an impact in order for the Calgary Flames to even this series and send it back to the Saddledome for Game 5.
