Betting Guide for Game 3 of Avalanche vs. Lightning in the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Final
The 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Finals will switch venues for Game 3 from Colorado to Florida. The Colorado Avalanche lead this best-of-seven series over the Tampa Bay Lightning 2-0 and Colorado dominated Tampa Bay in Game 2, 7-0.
The Lightning were also down 0-2 in the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Rangers, but this appears to be a different animal altogether with the Avalanche.
Dimers.com hockey expert Glenn Kaplan weighs in on the key factors in Game 5, while we've teamed up with BetMGM for an awesome NHL promotion.

Stanley Cup Final

Why the favorite Avalanche will cover the puck line
The Colorado Avalanche are 7-0 on the road this postseason and feel destined to win it all. Colorado is off to a 14-2 start in the 2022 NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs and it feels like they are unbeatable. Cale Makar might be the best player on the ice for the Avalanche as he scored two goals in Game 2 and so did Valeri Nichuskin.

Nathan MacKinnon has also recorded at least one point in the first two games of this series for Colorado. Darcy Kuemper only made 16 saves for the Avalanche in Game 2, but did manage a shutout.

Why the underdog Lightning will cover the puck line
The Tampa Bay Lightning decide to muddy up the hockey game a little bit and limit the Colorado Avalanche’s high scoring chances, but it may not even matter. Andrei Vasilevskiy bounces back after giving up 10 goals in the first two games of this series. Tampa Bay’s stars in Nikita Kucherov, Steven Stamkos, Victor Hedman, and Brayden Point also come back to life.

Why Avalanche vs. Lightning will go Over 6 Total Goals
The first two games of this series has reached that goal total with seven goals in the first two games. The Colorado Avalanche have scored 11 of 14 goals in this series. Colorado appears to be an offensive juggernaut that won’t be slowed down anytime soon.
DimersBOT Prediction: Over 6 goals (0.5% Edge)
Why Avalanche vs. Lightning will stay Under 6 Total Goals
It would be highly advised not to be the under-goal total. The goalies may have a game where they steal the show, but it doesn’t look like it will happen anytime soon. The last home game the Tampa Bay Lightning played in was a 2-1 home win in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Rangers.
The X-Factor: Brayden Point, Center, Tampa Bay Lightning
Brayden Point has played in the Stanley Cup Finals so far for the Tampa Bay Lightning and has felt non-existent because of his past injury in the first-round series against the Toronto Maple Leafs. In nine postseason games, he has scored two goals and has recorded three assists, and his plus/minus rating is -7.
During the regular season, he played in 66 games and scored 28 goals, and recorded 30 assists, with a plus/minus rating of -5. If Brayden Point is non-existent against, there is a shot that the Stanley Cup Trophy is in the building for Game 4.
